He shall tear it open by the wings, not dividing it completely, and then the priest shall burn it on the wood that is burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

He must take hold of the wings of the bird and tear it open. But he must not tear it in two. Then the priest will burn it on the wood burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering. It is a food offering. Its smell pleases the Lord.

He brought him all these, and divided them in the middle, and laid each half opposite the other; but he didn’t divide the birds.

Yahweh smelled the pleasant aroma. Yahweh said in his heart,“ I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth. I will never again strike every living thing, as I have done.

For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption.

but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead, and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

He shall bring them to the priest, who shall first offer the one which is for the sin offering. He shall wring off its head from its neck, but shall not sever it completely.

who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.

but he shall wash its innards and its legs with water. The priest shall burn all of it on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.“‘ If his offering is from the flock, from the sheep or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without defect.
