Our pursuers are on our necks. We are weary, and have no rest.

追者及我、扼我頸項、困憊不得休息兮、

我項服役、勤勞不息兮。

我項負軛、被人逼迫、困憊已甚、不得休息、

Those who pursue us are at our heels; we are weary and find no rest.

Those who chase us are right behind us. We’re tired and can’t get any rest.

Our pursuers are at our necks; we are weary; we are given no rest.

Those who pursue us are at our heels; we are exhausted but are given no rest.

We are closely pursued; we are tired, and no one offers us rest.

Our pursuers are at our necks; We are worn out, we are given no rest.

They pursue at our heels; We labor and have no rest.

Our pursuers are upon our necks: We are weary, and have no rest.

We are closely pursued; we are tired, and no one offers us rest.

Our necks[ are] under persecution: we labour,[ and] have no rest.

We are pursued– they are breathing down our necks; we are weary and have no rest.

“ Behold, we are servants today, and as for the land that you gave to our fathers to eat its fruit and its good, behold, we are servants in it.It yields much increase to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. Also they have power over our bodies and over our livestock, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.

For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says,“ I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they will serve him. I have also given him the animals of the field.”’”

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.

therefore you will serve your enemies whom Yahweh sends against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in lack of all things. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

Yahweh says to me:“ Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck.

“‘“‘ It will happen that I will punish the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon,’ says Yahweh,‘ with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

Among these nations you will find no ease, and there will be no rest for the sole of your foot; but Yahweh will give you there a trembling heart, failing of eyes, and pining of soul.Your life will hang in doubt before you. You will be afraid night and day, and will have no assurance of your life.

“ The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand. They are knit together. They have come up on my neck. He made my strength fail. The Lord has delivered me into their hands, against whom I am not able to stand.

Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

But the nation that brings their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serves him, that nation I will let remain in their own land,’ says Yahweh;‘ and they will till it and dwell in it.’”’”I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying,“ Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the sky. They chased us on the mountains. They set an ambush for us in the wilderness.
