敵人緊追不捨，我們疲憊不堪，不得安歇。

我們被人追趕，頸項帶上重軛；我們疲乏，得不著歇息。

我們被追趕，有軛在脖子上；我們勞勞碌碌，得不到歇息。

追者及我、扼我頸項、困憊不得休息兮、

我項服役、勤勞不息兮。

我項負軛、被人逼迫、困憊已甚、不得休息、

Those who pursue us are at our heels; we are weary and find no rest.

Those who chase us are right behind us. We’re tired and can’t get any rest.

Our pursuers are at our necks; we are weary; we are given no rest.

Those who pursue us are at our heels; we are exhausted but are given no rest.

Our pursuers are at our necks; We are worn out, we are given no rest.

They pursue at our heels; We labor and have no rest.

Our pursuers are upon our necks: We are weary, and have no rest.

We are closely pursued; we are tired, and no one offers us rest.

Our necks[ are] under persecution: we labour,[ and] have no rest.

We are pursued– they are breathing down our necks; we are weary and have no rest.

Our pursuers are on our necks. We are weary, and have no rest.

Here we are today, slaves in the land you gave our ancestors so that they could enjoy its fruit and its goodness. Here we are— slaves in it!Its abundant harvest goes to the kings you have set over us, because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and our livestock as they please. We are in great distress.

For this is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: I have put an iron yoke on the neck of all these nations that they might serve King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and they will serve him. I have even put the wild animals under him.’”

Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

you will serve your enemies that the LORD will send against you, in famine, thirst, nakedness, and a lack of everything. He will place an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

This is what the LORD said to me:“ Make chains and yoke bars for yourself and put them on your neck.

“‘“ As for the nation or kingdom that does not serve King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and does not place its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation I will punish by sword, famine, and plague— this is the LORD’s declaration— until through him I have destroyed it.

You will find no peace among those nations, and there will be no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and a despondent spirit.Your life will hang in doubt before you. You will be in dread night and day, never certain of survival.

My transgressions have been formed into a yoke, fastened together by his hand; they have been placed on my neck, and the Lord has broken my strength. He has handed me over to those I cannot withstand.

Now then, why are you testing God by putting a yoke on the disciples’ necks that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?

But as for the nation that will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave it in its own land, and that nation will cultivate it and reside in it. This is the LORD’s declaration.”’”I spoke to King Zedekiah of Judah in the same way:“ Put your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, serve him and his people, and live!

Those who chased us were swifter than eagles in the sky; they relentlessly pursued us over the mountains and ambushed us in the wilderness.
