The elders are gone from the city gate; the young men have stopped their music.

Our elders don’t go to the city gate anymore. Our young men have stopped playing their music.

The old men have left the city gate, the young men their music.

那时，我必使犹大城邑中和耶路撒冷街上，欢喜和快乐的声音，新郎和新妇的声音，都止息了，因为地必成为荒场。”

“但如今，比我年少的人戏笑我；其人之父我曾藐视，不肯安在看守我羊群的狗中。

锡安城的长老坐在地上默默无声；他们扬起尘土落在头上，腰束麻布；耶路撒冷的处女垂头至地。

锡安的路径因无人来守圣节就悲伤；她的城门凄凉；她的祭司叹息；她的处女受艰难，自己也愁苦。

弹琴、作乐、吹笛、吹号的声音，在你中间决不能再听见；各行手艺人在你中间决不能再遇见；推磨的声音在你中间决不能再听见；

我出到城门，在街上设立座位；少年人见我而回避，老年人也起身站立；王子都停止说话，用手捂口；首领静默无声，舌头贴住上膛。耳朵听我的，就称我有福；眼睛看我的，便称赞我；因我拯救哀求的困苦人和无人帮助的孤儿。将要灭亡的为我祝福；我也使寡妇心中欢乐。我以公义为衣服，以公平为外袍和冠冕。我为瞎子的眼，瘸子的脚。我为穷乏人的父；素不认识的人，我查明他的案件。我打破不义之人的牙床，从他牙齿中夺了所抢的。

我必使你唱歌的声音止息；人也不再听见你弹琴的声音。

除掉勇士和战士，审判官和先知，占卜的和长老，五十夫长和尊贵人，谋士和有巧艺的，以及妙行法术的。

新酒悲哀，葡萄树衰残；心中欢乐的俱都叹息。击鼓之乐止息；宴乐人的声音完毕，弹琴之乐也止息了。人必不得饮酒唱歌；喝浓酒的，必以为苦。荒凉的城拆毁了；各家关门闭户，使人都不得进去。在街上因酒有悲叹的声音；一切喜乐变为昏暗；地上的欢乐归于无有。

我又要使欢喜和快乐的声音，新郎和新妇的声音，推磨的声音和灯的亮光，从他们中间止息。

因为万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：你们还活着的日子在你们眼前，我必使欢喜和快乐的声音，新郎和新妇的声音，从这地方止息了。

所以，我的琴音变为悲音；我的箫声变为哭声。”

我招呼我所亲爱的，他们却愚弄我。我的祭司和长老正寻求食物、救性命的时候，就在城中绝气。

“你要在耶和华你神所赐的各城里，按着各支派设立审判官和官长。他们必按公义的审判判断百姓。
