我告诉你们，在审判之日，那城所受的刑罚将比所多玛所受的还重！

若不是万军之耶和华让我们一些人存活，我们早就像所多玛和蛾摩拉一样灭亡了。你们这些“所多玛”的首领啊，要聆听耶和华的话！你们这些“蛾摩拉”的百姓啊，要侧耳听我们上帝的训诲！

死于刀下的胜过死于饥饿的，后者因田间缺粮而活活饿死。

你把大灾难降在我们身上，应验了你警告我们和我们官长的话。耶路撒冷遭遇的灾祸普天之下从未有过。

我凭我的永恒起誓，与你妹妹所多玛和她女儿们相比，你和你女儿们的行径有过之而无不及。这是主耶和华说的。看啊，你妹妹所多玛和她的女儿们傲慢狂妄，安逸饱足，对穷困的人漠不关心。她们心骄气傲，在我面前做可憎的事，我看见后便除掉了她们。

因为那时世上将有空前绝后的大灾难。

明知主人的意思却不准备，也不遵行主人吩咐的仆人，必受更重的责打。

“迦百农啊，你将被提升到天上吗？不！你将被打落到阴间。因为若把在你那里所行的神迹行在所多玛，它肯定会存留到今天。所以我告诉你们，在审判之日，你们将比所多玛受更重的刑罚！”
