野狗尚且把奶乳哺其子，我民的妇人倒成为残忍，好像旷野的鸵鸟一般。

野狗尚且哺乳其子，我百姓的妇人反倒残忍，如旷野的鸵鸟一般；

野狗尚且哺乳其子，我百姓的妇人反倒残忍，如旷野的鸵鸟一般；

豺狼尚且哺养自己的幼儿，我的子民却像荒野的鸵鸟一样残忍无情。

野狗尚且用乳房哺养它们的幼儿；但我的众民变得多么残忍，像旷野的鸵鸟一样。

野犬猶出其乳、以哺厥子兮、惟我民女殘忍、若野間之鴕鳥兮、

野犬猶哺其子、我民之婦、殘忍難堪、若曠野之鴕鳥兮、

Even jackals offer their breasts to nurse their young, but my people have become heartless like ostriches in the desert.

Even wild dogs nurse their young pups. But my people are as mean as ostriches in the desert.

“ The wings of the ostrich flap with joy, but are they the pinions and plumage of a stork?For she leaves her eggs on the ground, and lets them be warmed on the soil.She forgets that a foot might crush them, or that a wild animal might trample them.She is harsh with her young, as if they were not hers; she is unconcerned about the uselessness of her labor.

The hands of tenderhearted women cooked their own children, who became their food, when my people were destroyed.כ( Kaf)

They will besiege all of your villages until all of your high and fortified walls collapse– those in which you put your confidence throughout the land. They will besiege all your villages throughout the land the LORD your God has given you.You will then eat your own offspring, the flesh of the sons and daughters the LORD your God has given you, because of the severity of the siege by which your enemies will constrict you.The man among you who is by nature tender and sensitive will turn against his brother, his beloved wife, and his remaining children.He will withhold from all of them his children’s flesh that he is eating( since there is nothing else left), because of the severity of the siege by which your enemy will constrict you in your villages.Likewise, the most tender and delicate of your women, who would never think of putting even the sole of her foot on the ground because of her daintiness, will turn against her beloved husband, her sons and daughters,and will secretly eat her afterbirth and her newborn children( since she has nothing else), because of the severity of the siege by which your enemy will constrict you in your villages.

Look, O Lord! Consider! Whom have you ever afflicted like this? Should women eat their offspring, their healthy infants? Should priest and prophet be killed in the Lord’s sanctuary?ש( Sin/ Shin)

You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters.

But Jesus turned to them and said,“ Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.For this is certain: The days are coming when they will say,‘ Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore children, and the breasts that never nursed!’

senseless, covenant- breakers, heartless, ruthless.

While the king of Israel was passing by on the city wall, a woman shouted to him,“ Help us, my master, O king!”He replied,“ No, let the LORD help you. How can I help you? The threshing floor and winepress are empty.”Then the king asked her,“ What’s your problem?” She answered,“ This woman said to me,‘ Hand over your son; we’ll eat him today and then eat my son tomorrow.’So we boiled my son and ate him. Then I said to her the next day,‘ Hand over your son and we’ll eat him.’ But she hid her son!”

Can a woman forget her baby who nurses at her breast? Can she withhold compassion from the child she has borne? Even if mothers were to forget, I could never forget you!
