They wandered, blind, through the streets; they were so defiled with blood that no one was able to touch their garments.

彼於街市、游行若瞽兮、為血所污、其衣人不能捫兮、

彼若瞽者、往來於市、血染其衣、人不能捫兮。

彼若瞽者、往來於市、被血污染、人不可捫其衣、

Now they grope through the streets as if they were blind. They are so defiled with blood that no one dares to touch their garments.

Now those prophets and priests have to feel their way along the streets as if they were blind. The blood of those they killed has made them“ unclean.” So no one dares to touch their clothes.

They wandered blindly through the streets, so defiled by blood that no one dared touch them.

Blind, they stumbled in the streets, defiled by this blood, so that no one dared to touch their garments.

They wandered, blind, in the streets; They were defiled with blood, Such that no one could touch their garments.

They wander as blind men in the streets, they are polluted with blood, So that men cannot touch their garments.

Blind, they stumbled in the streets, defiled by this blood, so that no one dared to touch their garments.

They wander as blind men in the streets. They are polluted with blood, So that men can’t touch their garments.

Also on your skirts is found the lifeblood of the guiltless poor; you did not find them breaking in. Yet in spite of all these things

When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.

The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of mind,and you shall grope at noonday, as the blind grope in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. And you shall be only oppressed and robbed continually, and there shall be no one to help you.

Whoever in the open field touches someone who was killed with a sword or who died naturally, or touches a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

For the Lord has poured out upon you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes( the prophets), and covered your heads( the seers).And the vision of all this has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed. When men give it to one who can read, saying,“ Read this,” he says,“ I cannot, for it is sealed.”And when they give the book to one who cannot read, saying,“ Read this,” he says,“ I cannot read.”

Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not overtake us; we hope for light, and behold, darkness, and for brightness, but we walk in gloom.We grope for the wall like the blind; we grope like those who have no eyes; we stumble at noon as in the twilight, among those in full vigor we are like dead men.We all growl like bears; we moan and moan like doves; we hope for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far from us.

there is swearing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed.
