看见了这些的人和万国的人都要问：‘耶和华为什么向这地这样行呢？为什么大发烈怒呢？’人就必回答：‘是因为他们离弃了耶和华他们列祖的神的约，就是耶和华把他们从埃及地领出来的时候，与他们所立的；去事奉别的神，向他们叩拜，就是他们不认识的神，也是耶和华没有给他们指定要拜的神；所以耶和华向这地大发烈怒，把这书上所写的一切咒诅都降在这地上；于是耶和华在烈怒、忿怒和大怒中，把他们从他们的地土拔出来，丢在别的地方，像今天一样。’

看哪！列王会合，一同前进。他们一见这城，就惊惶，慌忙逃跑。他们在那里战栗恐惧；他们痛苦好像妇人分娩时一样。
