Waters flowed over my head. I said,“ I am cut off.”

众水流过我头，我说：“我命断绝了！”

众水淹没我的头，我说：“我没命了！”

水已经漫过我的头，我想我要灭亡了。

the waters closed over my head, and I thought I was about to perish.

The water rose and covered my head. I thought I was going to die.

For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.I said,‘ I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head.

Then he said to me,“ Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say,‘ Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost. We are completely cut off.’

Don’t let the flood waters overwhelm me, neither let the deep swallow me up. Don’t let the pit shut its mouth on me.

I said,“ My strength has perished, along with my expectation from Yahweh.”

then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul;then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.

The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

I said,“ In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol. I am deprived of the residue of my years.”I said,“ I won’t see Yah, Yah in the land of the living. I will see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me like a shepherd’s tent. I have rolled up my life like a weaver. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night you will make an end of me.I waited patiently until morning. He breaks all my bones like a lion. From day even to night you will make an end of me.

As for me, I said in my haste,“ I am cut off from before your eyes.” Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.

Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck!I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver; on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;

My days are past. My plans are broken off, as are the thoughts of my heart.They change the night into day, saying‘ The light is near’ in the presence of darkness.If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness,if I have said to corruption,‘ You are my father;’ to the worm,‘ My mother,’ and‘ My sister,’where then is my hope? as for my hope, who will see it?Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol, or descend together into the dust?”
