因我本城的众民，我的眼，使我的心伤痛。

为我城中的百姓，我眼所见的使我心痛。

緣我邑中諸女、觸目而傷心兮、

邑民淪喪、我淚盈睫、至於患疾兮。

我為我邑之諸女、心傷目痛、心傷目痛或作我目之淚使我心傷

What I see brings grief to my soul because of all the women of my city.

What I see brings pain to my spirit. All the women of my city are mourning.

my eyes cause me grief at the fate of all the daughters of my city.

My heart is breaking over the fate of all the women of Jerusalem.

My eyes bring me grief because of the fate of all the women in my city.

My eyes bring pain to my soul Because of all the daughters of my city.

My eyes bring suffering to my soul Because of all the daughters of my city.

Mine eye affecteth my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.

My eyes bring me grief because of the fate of all the women in my city.

What my eyes see grieves me– all the suffering of the daughters in my city.צ( Tsade)

“ Young and old lie together in the dust of the streets; my young men and young women have fallen by the sword. You have slain them in the day of your anger; you have slaughtered them without pity. (niv)

As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over itand said,“ If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace— but now it is hidden from your eyes.The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.” (niv)

When David and his men reached Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. (niv)

How can I go back to my father if the boy is not with me? No! Do not let me see the misery that would come on my father.” (niv)

“ The Lord is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command. Listen, all you peoples; look on my suffering. My young men and young women have gone into exile. (niv)

Women have been violated in Zion, and virgins in the towns of Judah. (niv)

I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and they will eat one another’s flesh because their enemies will press the siege so hard against them to destroy them.’ (niv)

therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says:“ I will punish them. Their young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters by famine. (niv)

And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them, their wives, their sons and their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve. (niv)
