使我在萬民中、猶若污穢可棄之物、

You have made us scum and refuse among the nations.

You have made us become like trash and garbage among the nations.

You have made us scum and garbage among the peoples.

You have discarded us as refuse and garbage among the nations.

You have made us disgusting filth among the peoples.

You have made us mere refuse and rubbish In the midst of the peoples.

You have made us an offscouring and refuse In the midst of the peoples.

Thou hast made us an off- scouring and refuse in the midst of the peoples.

You have made us disgusting filth among the peoples.

when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth, the garbage of the world— right up to this moment. (niv)

They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail. (niv)

You will become a thing of horror, a byword and an object of ridicule among all the peoples where the Lord will drive you. (niv)

I became the laughingstock of all my people; they mock me in song all day long. (niv)

All who pass your way clap their hands at you; they scoff and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?” (niv)

Now they grope through the streets as if they were blind. They are so defiled with blood that no one dares to touch their garments.“ Go away! You are unclean!” people cry to them.“ Away! Away! Don’t touch us!” When they flee and wander about, people among the nations say,“ They can stay here no longer.” (niv)

The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. (niv)
