“ You have engulfed us with your anger, chased us down, and slaughtered us without mercy.

“ You have covered yourself in anger and pursued us; you have killed without compassion.

You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and not pitied.

Thou hast covered with anger and pursued us; thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

The Lord has done what He determined; He has accomplished His word Which He commanded from days of old. He has torn down without sparing, And He has helped the enemy to rejoice over you; He has exalted the might of your adversaries.

So pursue them with Your heavy gale, And terrify them with Your storm.

You will pursue them in anger and eliminate them From under the heavens of the Lord!

but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against His people, until there was no remedy.So He brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or frail; He handed them all over to him.

How the Lord has covered the daughter of Zion With a cloud in His anger! He has hurled The glory of Israel from heaven to earth, And has not remembered His footstool In the day of His anger.The Lord has destroyed; He has not spared All the settlements of Jacob. In His wrath He has overthrown The strongholds of the daughter of Judah, He has hurled them down to the ground; He has profaned the kingdom and its leaders.

Yet You have crushed us in a place of jackals And covered us with deep darkness.

Therefore, I indeed will deal in wrath. My eye will have no pity nor will I spare; and though they cry out in My ears with a loud voice, yet I will not listen to them.”

But as for Me, My eye will have no pity nor will I spare, but I will bring their conduct upon their heads.”

My eye will have no pity nor will I spare you. I will repay you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst; then you will know that I, the Lord, am striking.
