“ You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you have slain without pity.

“ You have covered yourself with the cloud of your anger. You have chased us. You have killed us without pity.

“ You have wrapped yourself with anger and pursued us, killing without pity;

“ You have engulfed us with your anger, chased us down, and slaughtered us without mercy.

“ You have covered yourself in anger and pursued us; you have killed without compassion.

You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and have not spared.

You have covered Yourself with anger And pursued us; You have slain and not pitied.

Thou hast covered with anger and pursued us; thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

You shrouded yourself with anger and then pursued us; you killed without mercy.

“ You have covered us with anger and pursued us. You have killed. You have not pitied.

Both young and old are lying on the ground in the streets. My young men and women have fallen by the sword. You have killed them in the day of Your anger, slaughtering without compassion.

The Lord has done what He planned; He has accomplished His decree, which He ordained in days of old. He has demolished without compassion, letting the enemy gloat over you and exalting the horn of your adversaries.

so pursue them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your storm.

You will pursue them in anger and destroy them under Your heavens.

But they kept ridiculing God’s messengers, despising His words, and scoffing at His prophets, until the Lord’s wrath was so stirred up against His people that there was no remedy.So He brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their choice young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary. He had no pity on young men or young women, elderly or aged; He handed them all over to him.

How the Lord has overshadowed Daughter Zion with His anger! He has thrown down Israel’s glory from heaven to earth. He has abandoned His footstool in the day of His anger.Without compassion the Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob. In His wrath He has demolished the fortified cities of Daughter Judah. He brought them to the ground and defiled the kingdom and its leaders.

But You have crushed us in a haunt of jackals and have covered us with deepest darkness.

Therefore I will respond with wrath. I will not show pity or spare them. Though they cry out in My ears with a loud voice, I will not listen to them.”

But as for Me, I will not show pity or spare them. I will bring their actions down on their own heads.”

I will not look on you with pity or spare you. I will punish you for your ways and for your detestable practices within you. Then you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who strikes.
