For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone.

He doesn’t want to bring pain or suffering to anyone.

For he does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow.

For he does not enjoy bringing affliction or suffering on mankind.

For He does not afflict willingly Or grieve the sons of mankind.

For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men.

Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live?For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.
