I am the man who has experienced affliction from the rod of his wrath.

我是因耶和华忿怒的杖，遭遇困苦的人。

因耶和华愤怒的杖，我是遭遇困苦的人。

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of the Lord’s wrath.

I am a man who has suffered greatly. The Lord has used the Babylonians to punish my people.

I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of his wrath;

I am the one who has seen the afflictions that come from the rod of the Lord’s anger.

I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s wrath.

I am the man who has seen misery Because of the rod of His wrath.

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of His wrath.

I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s wrath.

Your anger bears down on me, and you overwhelm me with all your waves.( Selah)

Have pity on me, my friends, have pity on me, for the hand of God has struck me.

I am oppressed and have been on the verge of death since my youth. I have been subjected to your horrors and am numb with pain.Your anger overwhelms me; your terrors destroy me.

So the officials took Jeremiah and put him in the cistern of Malkijah, one of the royal princes, that was in the courtyard of the guardhouse. There was no water in the cistern, only mud. So when they lowered Jeremiah into the cistern with ropes he sank in the mud.

I did not spend my time in the company of other people, laughing and having a good time. I stayed to myself because I felt obligated to you and because I was filled with anger at what they had done.Why must I continually suffer such painful anguish? Why must I endure the sting of their insults like an incurable wound? Will you let me down when I need you like a brook one goes to for water, but that cannot be relied on?”

Cursed be the day I was born! May that day not be blessed when my mother gave birth to me.Cursed be the man who made my father very glad when he brought him the news that a baby boy had been born to him!May that man be like the cities that the LORD destroyed without showing any mercy. May he hear a cry of distress in the morning and a battle cry at noon.For he did not kill me before I came from the womb, making my pregnant mother’s womb my grave forever.Why did I ever come forth from my mother’s womb? All I experience is trouble and grief, and I spend my days in shame.

He was despised and rejected by people, one who experienced pain and was acquainted with illness; people hid their faces from him; he was despised, and we considered him insignificant.

Though you have allowed me to experience much trouble and distress, revive me once again! Bring me up once again from the depths of the earth!

Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by on the road? Look and see! Is there any pain like mine? The Lord has afflicted me, he has inflicted it on me when he burned with anger.מ( Mem)He sent down fire into my bones, and it overcame them. He spread out a trapper’s net for my feet; he made me turn back. He has made me desolate; I am faint all day long.נ( Nun)My sins are bound around my neck like a yoke; they are fastened together by his hand.
