以色列族無王公、無祭祀、無公服、不奉雕柱、不事偶像、

昔以色列族不尊崇真上帝、不從祭司訓迪、不守律例、至於持久。

彼曰、猶大人被虜而歸者、遭難受辱、耶路撒冷城堞仍墮、邑門仍燬、

禍患風聞、絡繹而至、人求先知之默示、然祭司已無律例、長老已無智謀。

爾必遭昏夜、不睹光明、不見異象、不能占驗、日必沉西、晝變晦冥、以罰偽先知焉、先見者抱愧、占卜者蒙羞、上帝不應獨祈、行皆掩口、

我之禮文、不復再見、我之先知、卒無一人、不知胡底兮。

耶和華將遷爾、及爾所立之王、至爾與爾祖所未識之國、在彼爾奉事他上帝、木石所作者。

巴比倫武士不敢出戰、堅守城垣、已喪厥膽、有若婦女、敵人驟至、燬宅第、折門楗。

主耶和華又曰、時日將至、必使斯土之民、如饑如渴、非欲食餅飲水、乃慕耶和華之道、人必遨遊、自湖至海、自北至東、求我耶和華之道、而不能得、

罹之以網羅、陷之以坎阱、曳至巴比倫、在彼降災、以罰其罪、

王宮民室、悉為迦勒底人所燬、墮耶路撒冷城垣。

巴比倫王八年、猶大王約雅斤同其母、爰及臣工、僕隸、官豎、俱出、降巴比倫王、巴比倫王、執之、盡得耶和華殿、及王宮府庫之寶、剝耶和華殿間、以色列王所羅門所飾之金、應耶和華言、俘耶路撒冷群臣居民、豪傑之士、工作之輩、計一萬人、所遺者惟貧乏之人而已。以約雅斤、與王母、王后、宦豎、及有能力者、自耶路撒冷、擄至巴比倫、軍旅七千、工匠一千、及諸壯士、咸為巴比倫王所擄、至巴比倫邑。

猶大被虜、服役維艱、居於異邦、未獲安康兮、災厄已臨、敵人追襲兮。

乃殺西底家諸子、使其目睹之、然後瞽其目、繫以銅索、解至巴比倫。

我張網羅、罹之於中、曳至迦勒底之巴比倫、雖死於彼、亦不得見其地。

耶和華曰、維彼先知、託我之名、普傳妄誕、我未嘗遣之、亦未嘗降諭、彼所言者、虛偽之異象、無憑之卜筮、中心所思之幻境。

耶和華所沐以膏、我所賴以得生、至異邦中、望其庇蔭者、今陷於坎阱兮。
