The Lord has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has given the walls of her palaces into the hands of the enemy; they have raised a shout in the house of the Lord as on the day of an appointed festival.

The Lord deserted his altar. He left his temple. He gave the walls of Jerusalem’s palaces into the hands of her enemies. They shouted loudly in the house of the Lord. You would have thought it was the day of an appointed feast.

The Lord has scorned his altar, disowned his sanctuary; he has delivered into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they raised a clamor in the house of the Lord as on the day of festival.

The Lord has rejected his own altar; he despises his own sanctuary. He has given Jerusalem’s palaces to her enemies. They shout in the Lord’s Temple as though it were a day of celebration.

求你舉步到那長久荒涼之地——在聖所中，仇敵已經做了一切惡事。你的敵人在你的會所中吼叫，設立了自己的標幟為記號；他們像是在樹林中揮斧頭的人；而現在，他們用斧子和錘子，把聖所的雕刻全都擊碎了。他們放火把你的聖所燒成平地，褻瀆了你名的住所。他們心裡說：「我們要徹底制伏這些人！」他們在地上焚燒了神一切的會所。

神聽了就動怒，極其厭棄以色列。以致他撇棄示羅的住所，就是他在人間安居的帳篷。他又把象徵他權能的約櫃給人擄去，把他的榮耀交在敵人的手中，

並且推出假見證人說：「這個人不斷地說褻瀆神的話語，反對這聖所和律法。我們曾聽到他說，這個拿撒勒人耶穌要拆毀這地方，也要改變摩西傳給我們的規矩。」

耶穌回應說：「你們不是看見了這一切嗎？我確實地告訴你們：這裡將絕不會有一塊石頭留在另一塊石頭上而不被拆下。」

願他為子民中的困苦人施行審判，拯救貧窮人的兒女，壓碎那欺壓者。人們必敬畏你，如日之恆，如月之久，直到萬代。他必降臨，如同雨水降在割過的草地上，又如細雨滋潤大地。在他的日子裡，義人必興盛，並有豐盛的平安，如月長存。願他施行管轄，從這海直到那海，從大河直到地極。曠野的走獸將在他面前屈身，他的仇敵將舔食塵土。塔爾施和眾海島的君王們將帶來貢物，示巴和西拔的君王們將獻上禮物。所有的君王都要向他下拜，所有的國家都要服事他。他解救那呼救的貧窮人，以及那無人幫助的困苦人；他顧惜貧弱者和窮人，拯救窮人的性命；他從欺壓和殘暴中贖回他們的性命，他們的血在他眼中看為寶貴。願他長壽！願人把示巴的金子獻給他；願人一直為他禱告，終日祝福他。願五穀在大地、在群山的頂上豐盛；願它們的果實晃動，如同黎巴嫩的香柏樹；願城中人丁興旺，如同地上的牧草。願他的名存到永遠，如太陽長久；願人們因他蒙福，願所有的國家都稱他有福。耶和華神——獨行奇事的以色列的神，是當受頌讚的！他榮耀的名是當受頌讚的，直到永遠；願他的榮耀充滿全地！阿們，阿們！耶西的兒子大衛的禱告結束。

你的聖城變成了曠野，錫安變成了曠野，耶路撒冷變成了荒涼之地。我們聖潔、榮美的殿，就是我們祖先讚美你的地方，已經被火燒毀了，我們所珍愛的一切都成了廢墟。
