Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of Daughter Zion.

Like an enemy the Lord got his bow ready to use. He had a sword in his right hand. Like an enemy he destroyed everything that used to be pleasing to him. His anger blazed out like fire. It burned up the homes in the city of Zion.

He has bent his bow like an enemy, with his right hand set like a foe; and he has killed all who were delightful in our eyes in the tent of the daughter of Zion; he has poured out his fury like fire.

He bends his bow against his people, as though he were their enemy. His strength is used against them to kill their finest youth. His fury is poured out like fire on beautiful Jerusalem.

He has strung his bow like an enemy; his right hand is positioned like an adversary. He has killed everyone who was the delight to the eye, pouring out his wrath like fire on the tent of Daughter Zion.

因此，主耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我的怒氣和忿怒，必倒在這地方，也必倒在人口、牲畜、田野的樹木和地的出產上；怒火燒起，不能熄滅。”

因此，他把他猛烈的怒氣和慘酷的戰爭，傾倒在他身上；這在他四周如火燒起來，他還不知道；把他燒著了，他也不放在心上。

我必在怒氣、烈怒和忿怒中，用伸出來的手和強有力的膀臂，親自攻擊你們。

“人子啊！我從他們中間奪去他們的堡壘、他們所喜歡的榮耀、他們眼所喜愛的、心所崇尚的和他們的兒女的時候，

他拉開了他的弓，立我作箭靶子。他把他箭囊中的箭，射進我的肺腑。

因為全能者的箭射中我，我的靈喝盡了箭的毒液，神的驚嚇排陣攻擊我。

你所有的盟友都忘記了你，不再關心你；我擊打了你，好像仇敵擊打你，又好像殘暴的人懲罰你一樣；都因你的罪孽甚多，你的罪惡無數。

我本來安逸，他卻把我壓碎；掐著我的頸項，把我摔碎；又把我當作他的箭靶。他的弓箭手四面包圍我，他剖開我的腰子，全不顧惜，把我的膽傾倒在地上。他把我破傷，在破口上又加破傷，如勇士一般向我直衝。

所以我因他們在那地上流人的血，又因他們以自己可憎的像玷污那地，就把我的烈怒倒在他們身上。

“這樣我的怒氣才可以發盡，我向他們所發的烈怒才可以平息，自己才得到舒暢。我向他們所發的烈怒完全發盡的時候，他們就知道我耶和華說過的話是出於嫉恨的心。

大衛家啊！耶和華這樣說：你們每早晨應秉公審判，解救被搶奪的脫離欺壓者的手；免得我的烈怒因你們（“你們”有古抄本作“他們”）的惡行發作，如火焚燒，無人能熄滅。

黃金怎麼竟然失去光澤，純金怎麼竟然變色？聖殿的石頭都被拋棄在各街頭上。

猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪！你們要為了耶和華的緣故自行割禮，除去心裡的污穢；不然，我的忿怒必因你們的惡行，如火一般發出來，無人能熄滅！”

主好像成了仇敵；他吞滅了以色列和她所有的宮殿，毀壞了她的堅固城。他在猶大居民的中間，增添了悲哀和哭號。

也許他們會向耶和華懇求，各人回轉，離開自己的惡道，因為耶和華向這人民所說要發的怒氣和烈怒是很大的。”

在遠處的必因瘟疫死亡，在近處的必倒在刀劍之下，那餘下被圍困的也必因饑荒死亡。我必這樣在他們身上完全發盡我的烈怒。

銀子怎樣在爐中熔化，你們也必照樣在城中熔化；你們就知道我耶和華把我的烈怒倒在你身上。’”

我在忿怒中踐踏萬民，在烈怒中使他們沉醉，又把他們的血倒在地上。”

耶和華是嫉惡和施行報復的神；耶和華施行報復，並且滿懷烈怒；耶和華向他的對頭施行報復，向他的仇敵懷怒。

在他盛怒之下，誰能站得住呢？他的烈怒誰能受得了呢？他的忿怒像火一般噴出來，磐石在他面前都崩裂了。

他真是終日不停地反手攻擊我。

耶路撒冷啊，醒來！醒來！站起來吧！你從耶和華的手中喝了他烈怒的杯，喝盡了那使人搖搖擺擺的爵。她所生的眾子中，沒有一個引導她的；她養大的眾子中，沒有一個扶持她的。荒涼與毀滅，饑荒與刀劍，這兩樣臨到你，誰為你悲哀呢？誰能安慰你呢？（按照《馬索拉文本》，“誰能安慰你呢？”作“我如何能安慰你呢？”；現參照《死海古卷》和其他古譯本翻譯）你的眾子昏倒了，在各街頭上躺臥，好像羚羊在網羅之中；他們飽嘗了耶和華的烈怒，你的神的斥責。

可是，他們竟然悖逆，使他的聖靈憂傷；所以他轉作他們的仇敵，親自攻擊他們。

“你們去，為我、也為以色列和猶大的餘民，求問耶和華關於我們發現的這書上的話；因為我們的列祖沒有謹守耶和華的話，也沒有照著這書上所記的一切去行，所以耶和華才向我們大發烈怒。”

因為他們離棄了我，向別的神燒香，用他們手所做的惹我發怒，所以我的忿怒必傾倒在這地上，總不熄滅。
