Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of Daughter Zion.

Like an enemy the Lord got his bow ready to use. He had a sword in his right hand. Like an enemy he destroyed everything that used to be pleasing to him. His anger blazed out like fire. It burned up the homes in the city of Zion.

He has bent his bow like an enemy, with his right hand set like a foe; and he has killed all who were delightful in our eyes in the tent of the daughter of Zion; he has poured out his fury like fire.

He bends his bow against his people, as though he were their enemy. His strength is used against them to kill their finest youth. His fury is poured out like fire on beautiful Jerusalem.

He has strung his bow like an enemy; his right hand is positioned like an adversary. He has killed everyone who was the delight to the eye, pouring out his wrath like fire on the tent of Daughter Zion.

主耶和華說，『我要向這地方的人、牲畜、田野的樹木和地裡的出產發怒，發烈怒，如無法熄滅的火。』」

所以，祂把烈怒和戰火傾倒在他們身上。他們被火包圍，卻不明白；被烈火焚身，卻不在乎。

我要在烈怒中伸出大能的臂膀下手擊打你們，

「人子啊，有一天我要奪去他們所喜悅、所誇耀、眼中所愛、心裡所慕的堡壘，也要奪去他們的兒女。

祂彎弓搭箭，把我當箭靶，用箭袋中的箭射穿我的心臟。

因為全能者的箭射中我，箭毒侵蝕我的靈，祂使恐懼列隊襲來。

你們的盟友都忘了你們，對你們漠不關心。我要像你們的仇敵一樣擊打你們，殘酷地懲罰你們，因為你們罪大惡極，罪過無數。

我本來平順，祂擊垮了我，祂抓住我的頸項將我摔碎，把我當祂的箭靶。祂的弓箭手四面圍住我，祂毫不留情地刺透我的腎臟，使我肝膽塗地。祂一次次地擊傷我，像勇士一樣撲向我。

他們殺人流血，祭拜偶像，玷污了那地方，所以我要把我的烈怒傾倒在他們身上，

這樣，我對你們的怒氣才會發完，我才會息怒。我把烈怒傾倒在你們身上的時候，你們就會知道我耶和華的話是出於痛恨不貞。

大衛家啊，耶和華說，你們要天天秉公行義，從壓迫者手中解救受剝削的人，免得你們的惡行激起我的怒火，如烈焰燃起，無人能滅。

黃金竟失去光澤，純金竟變色，寶石竟被棄之街頭。

你們要自行割禮，除掉心中的污垢，歸向耶和華。不然，我必因你們的惡行而發烈怒，如火燃燒，無人能夠撲滅。

主像敵人一樣毀滅以色列，吞噬她的宮殿，夷平她的堡壘，使猶大人哀哭不止。

或許他們會改邪歸正，懇求耶和華赦罪，因為耶和華說要向他們發烈怒。」

遠處的必死於瘟疫，近處的必喪身刀下，其餘的必死於饑荒。我必把烈怒傾倒在他們身上。

你們要在城中熔化，就像銀在煉爐中熔化。你們就知道我耶和華已將我的烈怒傾倒在你們身上。』」

我在憤怒中踐踏萬民，讓他們飽嚐我的烈怒，把他們的血倒在地上。」

耶和華是痛恨不貞、施行報應的上帝。耶和華施行報應，充滿烈怒。耶和華報應祂的仇敵，向他們發烈怒。

祂發怒，誰能站立？祂發烈怒，誰能承受？祂的憤怒如火焰噴湧而出，磐石在祂面前崩裂。

又屢屢攻擊我，終日不斷。

耶路撒冷啊，醒來，醒來，站起來吧！你從耶和華手中的杯裡喝了祂的憤怒，喝乾了那杯使人東倒西歪的酒。你生育的兒子沒有一個來引導你，你撫養成人的眾子沒有一個來攙扶你。荒涼、毀滅、饑荒、戰禍已臨到你身上，誰會為你哀哭呢？誰能安慰你呢？你的兒子們昏倒在街頭，好像羚羊掉進網羅，你的上帝耶和華把祂的憤怒和責備重重地降在他們身上。

他們卻叛逆，使祂的聖靈憂傷。於是，祂與他們為敵，親自攻擊他們。

「你們去為我、為以色列和猶大的餘民求問耶和華有關這書卷上的話。耶和華的烈怒已經臨到我們身上，因為我們的祖先沒有遵守耶和華的話，沒有遵行這書卷上的話。」

因為他們背棄我，給別的神明燒香，製造偶像惹我發怒，所以我的怒火要在這地方燃燒，絕不止息。』
