耶和華啊，我迫切向你禱告，求你應允我，我必遵守你的律例。

「我為此哭泣，淚流滿面，卻無人安慰、鼓勵我。我的兒女淒涼孤苦，因為仇敵已經得勝。」

耶和華決意拆毀錫安的城牆，祂拉了準線，定意毀滅，決不停止。祂使城牆和壁壘一同悲哀哭泣。

真希望我的頭是水泉，眼是淚泉，好為我被殺的同胞晝夜哭泣；

我淚流成河，因為人們不遵行你的律法。

因同胞被毀滅，我淚流成河。我的眼淚湧流不息，

她在夜間痛哭，淚流滿面。情人中沒有一個前來安慰。朋友都出賣她，與她為敵。

萬軍之耶和華說：「把陪哭的婦人請來，把最會哭的婦人帶來，叫她們速來為我的子民哀哭，哭得他們淚盈滿眶，哭得他們淚如泉湧。

我聽見好像婦人分娩時的喊叫聲，好像婦人生頭胎時的痛苦呻吟。那是錫安城的喊叫聲，她在喘息，伸出雙手說：「噢！我有禍了，我要死在殺戮者手上了。」
