凡過之者、向爾鼓掌兮、嗤笑耶路撒冷女、而搖首兮、咸曰人所稱為完美、全地所喜悅者、即此邑乎、

凡過耶路撒冷者、鼓掌搖首、作怨憤之聲、曰、天下素稱華國樂土者、非此邑乎。

凡過路者、皆因爾鼓掌、向耶路撒冷邑邑原文作女嗤笑搖頭、曰、素為極美、天下所悅之邑、即此邑乎、

All who pass your way clap their hands at you; they scoff and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?”

All those who pass by clap their hands and make fun of you. They laugh at you and shake their heads at the city of Jerusalem. They say,“ Could that be the city that was called perfect and beautiful? Is that the city that brought joy to everyone on earth?”

All who pass along the way clap their hands at you; they hiss and wag their heads at the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of all the earth?”

All who pass by jeer at you. They scoff and insult beautiful Jerusalem, saying,“ Is this the city called‘ Most Beautiful in All the World’ and‘ Joy of All the Earth’?”

All who pass by scornfully clap their hands at you. They hiss and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem: Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?

錫安山－大君王的城，在北面居高華美，為全地所喜悅。

他們的地就變為荒涼，長久被人嘲笑；凡經過這地的必驚駭搖頭。

從全然美麗的錫安中，神已經發光了。

主耶和華如此說：因你們拍手頓足，幸災樂禍，藐視以色列地，

我必使這城令人驚駭嘲笑；凡路過的，必因這城所遭的災難驚駭嘲笑。

所以耶和華論他這樣說：『少女錫安藐視你，嘲笑你；耶路撒冷向你搖頭。

這素來歡樂、安然居住的城，心裏說：「惟有我，除我以外再沒有別的」，現在竟然荒涼，成為野獸躺臥之處！凡經過的人都必搖着手嗤笑它。

凡看見我的都嗤笑我；他們撇嘴搖頭：

你的損傷並未減輕，你的傷痕極其重大。凡聽見這消息的人都因你拍掌。有誰沒有時常遭受你的暴行呢？

因為你遵守暗利的規條，行亞哈家一切所行的，順從他們的計謀；因此，我必使你荒涼，使你的居民遭人嗤笑，你們也必擔當我百姓的羞辱。

耶和華論他這樣說：『少女錫安藐視你，嘲笑你；耶路撒冷向你搖頭。

我就必把以色列從我賜給他們的地上剪除，也必從我面前捨棄那為我名所分別為聖的殿，使以色列在萬民中成為笑柄，被人譏誚。這殿雖然崇高，將來凡經過的人必驚訝，嗤笑，說：『耶和華為何向這地和這殿如此行呢？』人必說：『因為此地的人離棄領他們祖先出埃及地的耶和華－他們的神，去親近別神，敬拜事奉它們，所以耶和華使這一切災禍臨到他們。』」

你所有的仇敵張口來攻擊你；他們嗤笑，切齒，說：「我們把她吞滅了，這是我們所盼望的日子！我們終於等到了，親眼看見了！」

他摧毀自己的帳幕如摧毀園子，毀壞自己的會幕。耶和華使節慶和安息日在錫安盡被遺忘，又在極其憤怒中厭棄君王與祭司。

你們的後代，就是接續你們興起的子孫，和遠方來的外邦人，看見這地的災禍，以及耶和華所降於這地的疾病，遍地都被硫磺和鹽所侵蝕，不能耕種，沒有出產，連草都長不出來，好像耶和華在怒氣和憤怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣，萬國必說：『耶和華為甚麼向此地這樣做呢？為甚麼要大發烈怒呢？』人必說：『這是因為這地的人離棄了耶和華－他們列祖的神領他們出埃及地的時候與他們所立的約，去事奉別神，敬拜他們所不認識的神明，這是耶和華未曾允許的。所以耶和華的怒氣向這地發作，將這書上所寫的一切詛咒都降在這地上。耶和華在怒氣、憤怒、大惱恨中將他們從本地拔出來，扔到別的地上，像今日一樣。』

看哪，我必召北方的眾族和我僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒前來攻擊這地和這地的居民，並四圍所有的國民。我要將他們盡行滅絕，以致他們令人驚駭、嗤笑，並且永久荒涼。這是耶和華說的。

這殿雖然崇高，將來凡經過的人必驚訝說：『耶和華為何向這地和這殿如此行呢？』

巴比倫必成為廢墟，為野狗的住處，令人驚駭、嗤笑，並且無人居住。

耶路撒冷犯了大罪，因此成為不潔淨；素來尊敬她的，見她裸露就都藐視她，她自己也嘆息退後。

你使我們在列國中成了笑柄，在萬民中使人搖頭。因辱罵者和毀謗者的聲音，因仇敵和報仇者的緣故，我的凌辱常常在我面前，我臉上的羞愧將我遮蔽，

風無情地擊打他，他試圖逃脫風的手。風要因他拍掌，並要發叱聲，使他離開原地。」

從那裏經過的人譏笑他，搖着頭，

我們那神聖華美的殿，就是我們祖先讚美你的地方，已被火焚燒；我們所羨慕的美地盡都荒蕪。

從那裏經過的人譏笑他，搖着頭，說：「哼！你這拆毀殿、三日又建造起來的，

我必用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫追趕他們，使地上萬國因他們而驚駭；在我趕他們到的各國，令人詛咒、驚駭、嗤笑、羞辱。

其中有耶路撒冷和猶大的城鎮，並耶路撒冷的君王與領袖；因此這城鎮荒涼，令人驚駭、嗤笑、詛咒，正如今日一樣。
