我因这些事哭泣，眼泪汪汪；因为那安慰我、使我重新得力的，离我甚远。我的儿女孤苦，因为仇敌得胜了。

他的弓箭手围绕我。他刺破我的肾脏，并不留情，把我的胆汁倾倒在地上。

耶和华啊，求你观看，因为我在急难中；我的心肠烦乱，我心在我里面翻转，因我大大背逆。在外，刀剑使人丧亡；在家，犹如死亡。

因此我说：“不要看我，让我痛哭吧！不要因我百姓的毁灭竭力安慰我。”

我如水被倒出，我的骨头都脱了节，我的心如蜡，在我里面熔化。

我的肺腑啊，我的肺腑啊，我心疼痛！我的心在我里面烦躁不安。我不能静默不言，因我已听见角声和打仗的喊声。

我的眼睛因忧愁而昏花，因敌人的缘故，我的眼目模糊不清。

因我百姓遭毁灭，我的眼睛泪流成河。我的眼睛流泪不停，流泪不止，直等到耶和华垂顾，从天上观看。为我城中的百姓，我眼所见的使我心痛。

被刀剑刺杀的胜过因饥饿而死的；饥饿者由于缺乏田里的出产就消瘦而亡。当我百姓遭毁灭的时候，慈心的妇人亲手烹煮自己的儿女为食物。

夜间每逢时辰开始，要起来呼喊，在主面前倾心吐意如水。你的孩童在街头上挨饿昏厥，你要为他们的性命向主举手。耶和华啊，求你观看，留意你向谁这样行。妇人岂可吃自己所生、所抚育的婴孩吗？祭司和先知岂可在主的圣所中被杀吗？

现在耶和华—万军之上帝、以色列的上帝如此说：你们为何做这大恶自害己命，使你们的男人、妇女、孩童和吃奶的都从犹大剪除，不留一人呢？

大卫和跟随他的百姓就放声大哭，直到没有气力再哭。

我像燕子呢喃，像白鹤鸣叫，又如鸽子哀鸣；我因仰望，眼睛困倦。主啊，我受欺压，求你为我作保。

野狗尚且哺乳其子，我百姓的妇人反倒残忍，如旷野的鸵鸟一般；吃奶孩子的舌头因干渴贴住上膛，孩童求饼，却无人擘给他们。

听啊，是我百姓呼救的声音从远地传来：“耶和华不是在锡安吗？锡安的王不是在其中吗？”“他们为什么以自己雕刻的偶像和外邦虚无的神明惹我发怒呢？”“秋收已过，夏季已完，我们还未得救！”因我百姓的损伤，我也受了损伤。我哀恸，惊惶将我抓住。在基列岂没有乳香呢？在那里岂没有医生呢？我百姓为何得不着医治呢？但愿我的头为水，我的眼为泪水的泉源，我好为我百姓中被杀的人昼夜哭泣。

耶和华啊，求你怜悯我，因为我在急难之中；我的眼睛因忧愁而昏花，我的身心也已耗尽。

因为日子将到，人要说：‘不生育的、未曾怀孕的，和未曾哺乳孩子的有福了！’

我因呼求困乏，喉咙发干；我因等候上帝，眼睛失明。

你要向他们说这些话：愿我眼泪汪汪，昼夜不息，因为少女—我百姓受了重大的打击，伤口极其严重。
