“我为此哭泣，泪流满面，却无人安慰、鼓励我。我的儿女凄凉孤苦，因为仇敌已经得胜。”

祂的弓箭手四面围住我，祂毫不留情地刺透我的肾脏，使我肝胆涂地。

“耶和华啊，看看我是多么痛苦！我的内脏搅动，我的心灵翻腾，因为我背叛了你。街上有屠杀，家中有死亡。

所以，我说：“你们不要管我，让我痛哭一场吧！不要安慰我，我的同胞都被毁灭了。”

我的力量如水消逝，我的骨头都脱了节，我的心如蜡熔化。

我的心啊，我的心啊！我伤心欲绝，烦躁不安。我无法保持缄默，因为我听见了号角声和呐喊声。

因同胞被毁灭，我泪流成河。我的眼泪涌流不息，直到耶和华从天上垂顾。目睹城中妇女的遭遇，我痛苦不已。

死于刀下的胜过死于饥饿的，后者因田间缺粮而活活饿死。我的百姓遭毁灭时，慈母亲手煮自己的儿女充饥。

你要在夜间起来，在主面前整夜呼求，向祂倾心吐意；你要为饿昏街头的孩童向主举手祷告。“耶和华啊，求你看看，你曾这样对付过谁呢？母亲岂能吃自己的孩子？祭司和先知岂能在主的圣所中被杀？

以色列的上帝——万军之上帝耶和华说，‘你们为什么自招大祸，使你们当中的男人、女人、孩童和婴儿都从犹大灭亡，无一幸免呢？

便放声大哭，直哭得精疲力尽。

“我像燕、鹤一样哀鸣，像鸽子一样呻吟；我举目望天，双眼疲倦。耶和华啊！我困苦不堪，求你保护我。

豺狼尚且哺养自己的幼儿，我的子民却像荒野的鸵鸟一样残忍无情。婴儿干渴难忍，舌头紧贴上膛；孩童乞求食物，却无人给予。

听啊！远处传来我同胞的哀鸣：“难道耶和华不在锡安了吗？难道她的王不在她那里了吗？”耶和华说：“他们为什么供奉雕刻的神像和外族无用的偶像，惹我发怒？”他们说：“麦收已完，夏季已过，但我们还未得救。”同胞的创伤令我伤心欲绝，痛苦万分，惊慌失措。难道基列没有药物、没有医生吗？为什么我同胞的创伤至今未愈？真希望我的头是水泉，眼是泪泉，好为我被杀的同胞昼夜哭泣；

耶和华啊，我落在苦难之中，求你怜悯我，我双眼哭肿，身心疲惫。

因为日子快到了，人们将说，‘不曾生育、不曾怀孕、不曾哺乳的女子有福了！’

我连连呼救，已声嘶力竭；我期盼上帝的帮助，望眼欲穿。

“耶利米，你要对他们说，‘让我昼夜泪眼汪汪吧，因为我的同胞遭受重创，遍体鳞伤。
