In fact, what other great nation has a god so near to them like the LORD our God whenever we call on him?And what other great nation has statutes and ordinances as just as this whole law that I am about to share with you today?

Then she will pursue her lovers, but she will not catch them; she will seek them, but she will not find them. Then she will say,“ I will go back to my husband, because I was better off then than I am now.”

For the LORD your God is bringing you to a good land, a land of brooks, springs, and fountains flowing forth in valleys and hills,a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates, of olive trees and honey,a land where you may eat food in plenty and find no lack of anything, a land whose stones are iron and from whose hills you can mine copper.

All who passed by on the road clapped their hands to mock you. They sneered and shook their heads at Daughter Jerusalem.“ Ha!
