我們成為鄰國的羞辱，成為我們四圍人的嗤笑譏刺。

我要為我所親愛的唱歌，是我所愛者的歌，論他葡萄園的事：我所親愛的有葡萄園在肥美的山岡上。他刨挖園子，撿去石頭，栽種上等的葡萄樹，在園中蓋了一座樓，又鑿出壓酒池；指望結好葡萄，反倒結了野葡萄。耶路撒冷的居民和猶大人哪，請你們現今在我與我的葡萄園中，斷定是非。我為我葡萄園所做之外，還有甚麼可做的呢？我指望結好葡萄，怎麼倒結了野葡萄呢？

我想念神，就煩燥不安；我沉吟悲傷，心便發昏。（細拉）

現在有許多國的民聚集攻擊你，說：願錫安被玷污！願我們親眼見她遭報！

哪一大國的人有神與他們相近，像耶和華－我們的神，在我們求告他的時候與我們相近呢？又哪一大國有這樣公義的律例典章，像我今日在你們面前所陳明的這一切律法呢？

她必追隨所愛的，卻追不上；她必尋找他們，卻尋不見，便說：我要歸回前夫，因我那時的光景比如今還好。

因為耶和華－你神領你進入美地，那地有河，有泉，有源，從山谷中流出水來。那地有小麥、大麥、葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹、橄欖樹，和蜜。你在那地不缺食物，一無所缺。那地的石頭是鐵，山內可以挖銅。

他將他的道指示雅各，將他的律例典章指示以色列。別國他都沒有這樣待過；至於他的典章，他們向來沒有知道。你們要讚美耶和華！

「耶和華－以色列的神如此說：猶大王打發你們來求問我，你們要如此對他說：『那出來幫助你們法老的軍隊必回埃及本國去。

亞伯拉罕說：『兒啊，你該回想你生前享過福，拉撒路也受過苦；如今他在這裏得安慰，你倒受痛苦。

因為在那裏，擄掠我們的要我們唱歌，搶奪我們的要我們作樂，說：給我們唱一首錫安歌吧！我們怎能在外邦唱耶和華的歌呢？

我們仰望人來幫助，以致眼目失明，還是枉然；我們所盼望的，竟盼望一個不能救人的國！

神何曾從別的國中將一國的人民領出來，用試驗、神蹟、奇事、爭戰、大能的手，和伸出來的膀臂，並大可畏的事，像耶和華－你們的神在埃及，在你們眼前為你們所行的一切事呢？這是顯給你看，要使你知道，惟有耶和華－他是神，除他以外，再無別神。他從天上使你聽見他的聲音，為要教訓你，又在地上使你看見他的烈火，並且聽見他從火中所說的話。因他愛你的列祖，所以揀選他們的後裔，用大能親自領你出了埃及，

凡過路的都向你拍掌。他們向耶路撒冷城嗤笑，搖頭，說：難道人所稱為全美的，稱為全地所喜悅的，就是這城嗎？你的仇敵都向你大大張口；他們嗤笑，又切齒說：我們吞滅她。這真是我們所盼望的日子臨到了！我們親眼看見了！

惟願我的景況如從前的月份，如神保守我的日子。那時他的燈照在我頭上；我藉他的光行過黑暗。我願如壯年的時候：那時我在帳棚中，神待我有密友之情；全能者仍與我同在；我的兒女都環繞我。奶多可洗我的腳；磐石為我出油成河。我出到城門，在街上設立座位；少年人見我而迴避，老年人也起身站立；王子都停止說話，用手摀口；首領靜默無聲，舌頭貼住上膛。耳朵聽我的，就稱我有福；眼睛看我的，便稱讚我；因我拯救哀求的困苦人和無人幫助的孤兒。將要滅亡的為我祝福；我也使寡婦心中歡樂。我以公義為衣服，以公平為外袍和冠冕。我為瞎子的眼，瘸子的腳。我為窮乏人的父；素不認識的人，我查明他的案件。我打破不義之人的牙牀，從他牙齒中奪了所搶的。我便說：我必死在家中，必增添我的日子，多如塵沙。我的根長到水邊；露水終夜霑在我的枝上。我的榮耀在身上增新；我的弓在手中日強。人聽見我而仰望，靜默等候我的指教。我說話之後，他們就不再說；我的言語像雨露滴在他們身上。他們仰望我如仰望雨，又張開口如切慕春雨。他們不敢自信，我就向他們含笑；他們不使我臉上的光改變。我為他們選擇道路，又坐首位；我如君王在軍隊中居住，又如弔喪的安慰傷心的人。但如今，比我年少的人戲笑我；其人之父我曾藐視，不肯安在看守我羊羣的狗中。

他醒悟過來，就說：『我父親有多少的雇工，口糧有餘，我倒在這裏餓死嗎？
