In the days of her affliction and wandering Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into enemy hands, there was no one to help her. Her enemies looked at her and laughed at her destruction.

Jerusalem’s people are suffering and wandering. They remember all the treasures they used to have. But they fell into the hands of their enemies. And no one was there to help them. Their enemies looked at them. They laughed because Jerusalem had been destroyed.

Jerusalem remembers in the days of her affliction and wandering all the precious things that were hers from days of old. When her people fell into the hand of the foe, and there was none to help her, her foes gloated over her; they mocked at her downfall.

我想到神，就哀怨唉哼；我沉思默想，心靈就煩亂。（細拉）

現在多國的民集合起來，攻擊你，說：‘願錫安被蹂躪，願我們親眼看見錫安遭報應。’”

哪一個大國的人有神與他們這樣親近，像耶和華我們的神，在我們每次呼求他的時候，與我們親近一樣呢？又哪一個大國有這樣公義的律例和典章，像我今日在你面前頒布的這一切律法呢？

她要追趕她那些愛人，卻追不上；要尋找他們，卻找不著。她就說：‘我要回去，回到前夫那裡，因為從前比現在好得多了。’

因為耶和華你的神快要領你進入那美地；那地有河流，有泉，有源，水從谷中和山上流出來；那地有小麥、大麥、葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹；那地有橄欖樹、油和蜜；你在那地必不缺乏食物，在那裡你必一無所缺；那地的石頭就是鐵；從那裡的山上，你可以挖出銅來。

他把自己的話向雅各頒布，把自己的律例和典章向以色列頒布。他從沒有這樣對待其他各國；他們都不知道他的典章。你們要讚美耶和華。

“耶和華以色列的神這樣說：你們要對差派你們來求問我的猶大王這樣說：‘看哪！那出來幫助你們的法老的軍隊，必回到他們的埃及本地去。

亞伯拉罕說：‘孩子，你應該回想你生前享過福，同樣拉撒路受過苦，現在他在這裡得安慰，你卻要受苦了。

因為在那裡，擄掠我們的人要我們唱歌，苦待我們的人要我們娛樂他們；他們說：“為我們唱一首錫安歌吧！”我們怎能在異族之地唱耶和華的歌呢？

我們徒然等待幫助，等到雙目失去視力；我們在瞭望臺上期望一個不能拯救我們的國家來臨。

有沒有一位神嘗試藉著試驗、神蹟、奇事、戰爭、大能的手和伸出來的膀臂，以及大而可畏的事，把一國的人民從別的國中領出來，像耶和華你們的神在埃及，在你們面前為你們所作的一切事呢？這是要顯明給你看，使你知道，只有耶和華是神；除了他以外，再沒有別的神。他從天上使你聽見他的聲音，為要教導你；又在地上使你看見他的大火，並且叫你聽到他從火中所說的話。因為他愛你的列祖，所以才揀選了他們的（按照《馬索拉文本》，“他們的”作“他的”﹔現參照其他抄本及古譯本翻譯）後裔，用大能親自把你從埃及領出來，

所有過路的人，都拍掌嘲笑你；他們嗤笑耶路撒冷的居民，並搖頭說：“被人稱為最完美，為全地所喜悅的，就是這城嗎？”你所有的仇敵都張開口攻擊你，他們嗤笑你，又咬牙切齒，說：“我們吞滅它了！這真是我們期待的日子！我們等到了！親眼看見了！”

“但願我的景況像以前的歲月，像神保守我的日子。那時他的燈照在我的頭上，我靠著他的光行過黑暗。但願我仍然活在年輕力壯的日子，那時神在我的帳棚裡與我親密。全能者仍然與我同在，我的孩子都環繞我。我用油洗腳，磐石為我出油成河。我出到城門那裡去，在廣場上預備我的座位。年輕人看見我，就迴避，年老的也起身站立。王子都停止說話，並且用手掩口。眾領袖都不敢作聲，他們的舌頭緊貼上顎。耳朵聽見我的，就稱我有福。眼睛看見我的，就作證稱讚我。因為我救了呼救的窮人，和無人幫助的孤兒。將要滅亡的，為我祝福；我使寡婦的心歡呼。我以公義作衣服穿上；我的公平好像外袍和冠冕。我作了瞎子的眼，瘸子的腿。我作過貧窮人的父親，我查究過我素來不認識的人的案件。我打碎了不義的人的牙齒，使捕食的掉下來。那時我心裡想：‘我必在家中安然去世，我必增添我的日子像沙塵那麼多。我的根蔓延到水邊，露水整夜沾在我的枝上。我的榮耀在身上常新，我的弓在我手上重新得力。大家都聆聽我，等候我；靜默無聲地領受我的指導。我說了話以後，他們就不再說，我的言語像雨露一般滴在他們身上。他們等候我像等候雨水，又大大張嘴如切慕春雨。我向他們微笑，他們也不敢相信；他們珍惜我臉上的光。我為他們選擇道路，又坐首位；我像君王住在軍隊中，又像個安慰悲傷的人。’”“但現在年紀比我小的人都笑我；我不容許他們的父親與我羊群的犬隻為伴。

他醒悟過來，說：‘我父親有那麼多雇工，又有豐富的食物，我卻要在這裡餓死嗎？
