“我們的神啊，求你垂聽，我們被藐視，求你使他們的毀謗歸到他們頭上，使他們在被擄之地成為掠物。不要遮蔽他們的罪孽，也不要從你面前塗抹他們的罪惡，因為他們在這些建造的人面前惹你發怒。”

耶和華啊！至於你，你知道他們要殺我的一切計謀。求你不要赦免他們的罪孽，不要從你面前塗抹他們的罪！使他們在你面前絆倒；求你在發怒的時候，對付他們。

為了這事，我們心裡愁煩；為了這事，我們的眼睛昏花；

他們大聲喊叫，說：“聖潔真實的主啊！你不審判住在地上的人，給我們伸流血的冤，要到幾時呢？”

願你把你的烈怒傾倒在不認識你的列國，和不求告你名的萬族身上；因為他們吞吃了雅各，他們吞吃了他，把他消滅，使他的住處荒涼。

錫安的居民要說：“願巴比倫以強暴待我們（“我們”或譯：“我和我骨肉之親”）的罪歸到巴比倫身上。”耶路撒冷要說：“願流我血的罪歸到迦勒底的居民身上。”

他從高天降火，使火進入我的骨頭裡（按照《馬索拉文本》，“他從高天降火，使火進入我的骨頭裡”作“他從高天降火進入我的骨頭裡，他管理火”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）。他設置網羅絆我的腳，使我退去。他使我孤單淒涼，終日愁煩。

因此，各人的手都必發軟，各人也必心驚膽戰。

耶和華啊！求你記念以東人在耶路撒冷遭難的日子所行的，他們說：“拆毀它，拆毀它，直拆到根基。”將要被毀滅的（“將要被毀滅的”有古譯本作“毀滅者”）巴比倫城（“城”原文作“女子”）啊！照著你待我們的行為報復你的，那人有福了。抓住你的嬰孩摔在磐石上的，那人有福了。

因此，我懇求你們，不要因著我為你們所受的苦難而沮喪，這原是你們的光榮。
