The enemy laid hands on all her treasures; she saw pagan nations enter her sanctuary— those you had forbidden to enter your assembly.

Jerusalem’s enemies took away all her treasures. Her people saw outsiders enter her temple. The Lord had commanded them not to do that.

The enemy has stretched out his hands over all her precious things; for she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary, those whom you forbade to enter your congregation.

The enemy has plundered her completely, taking every precious thing she owns. She has seen foreigners violate her sacred Temple, the place the Lord had forbidden them to enter.

爾見先知但以理所言、殘賊可惡之物、立不當立之地、讀者當思之、時、在猶太者、當逃於山、

主殿之銅柱、盤座、與主殿之銅海、迦勒底人皆毀之、將一切銅攜至巴比倫、又將釜、鏟、刀、盂、碗、及諸銅器、奉事時所用者、悉攜之去、所有之盤、香爐、盂、釜、燈臺、碗、樽、或金者、或銀者、侍衛長悉攜之去、又攜所羅門王為主殿所造之銅柱二、銅海一、並海下海下原文作座下之銅牛十二、此諸器之銅甚多、不能權其輕重、

以火焚主殿與王宮、及耶路撒冷之一切屋宇、並諸大宅、諸大宅或作諸顯者之室

天主歟、異邦人擅入主之境、污穢主之聖殿、使耶路撒冷變為荒邱、將主之僕人之屍、予空中之飛鳥為食、將敬畏主虔誠人之肉軀、飼地上之野獸、在耶路撒冷之四圍、流其血如水、無人葬埋、鄰邦皆凌辱我儕、在我四圍之列國、皆恥笑我儕、戲慢我儕、主歟、此至何時方止、主之震怒、至於永遠乎、主之氣忿、發如烈火乎、惟願主之盛怒、降於不認識主之列邦、降於不禱告主名之各國、因彼侵吞雅各、毀其居所、

故我民因無知、遂被遷移外邦、其尊者饑而死、民眾渴而憊、故示阿勒示阿勒有譯黃泉有譯陰府有譯墳墓開展其喉、大張無量之口、其榮、其眾、其眾或作其富其繁華、並其宴樂者、俱陷於其中、

主之聖民得業未久、我敵蹂躪主之聖所、

斯邑之貨財、居民勤勞所獲、與諸珍寶、及猶大列王之寶藏、我必悉付敵手、敵人盡擄掠攘奪、攜至巴比倫、

我必轉面不顧之、彼污我之禁所、故使強暴者至而污之、

我必使爾家貲貨財、為人所刼掠、分毫不償、皆因在爾四境、罪惡眾多、

主又諭之曰、爾當污殿、使諸院盈以被殺者、爾曹出哉、遂出而殺戮於邑中、
