昔總領天神彌額爾與魔鬼奪摩西屍體也、猶且不敢擅作威福、加以無謂之凌辱、僅曰：『願主責爾』而已。

But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

But even Michael, the leader of the angels, didn’t dare to say these things. He didn’t even say these things when he argued with the devil about the body of Moses. Michael didn’t dare to judge the devil. He didn’t say the devil was guilty of saying evil things. Instead, Michael said,“ May the Lord judge you!”

But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said,“ The Lord rebuke you.”

But even Michael, one of the mightiest of the angels, did not dare accuse the devil of blasphemy, but simply said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”( This took place when Michael was arguing with the devil about Moses’ body.)

Yet when Michael the archangel was disputing with the devil in an argument about Moses’s body, he did not dare utter a slanderous condemnation against him but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him an abusive judgment, but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

But Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing judgment, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Yet Michael the archangel, when he was disputing with the Devil in a debate about Moses’ body, did not dare bring an abusive condemnation against him but said,“ The Lord rebuke you!”

在天有戰、米迦勒偕其使與龍戰、龍亦偕其使以戰、

耶和華謂撒但曰、撒但歟、耶和華斥責爾、簡耶路撒冷之耶和華斥責爾、此非拔於火中之燼乎、

葬於摩押之谷、在伯毘珥相對之所、越至今日、無有知其墓者、

夫天使雖權力尤大、而於主前尚不詬詈以訟之、

惟真經所載者、我將示爾、除爾君米迦勒外、無有奮勇、助我禦之者也、

斯時也、護衛爾民之大君米迦勒將興、亦有大難、自有國以來、迄於是日、未之有也、其時爾民之中、凡名錄於册者、必蒙拯救、

惟波斯國之君、阻我二十一日、而君長之一米迦勒前來助我、我則無庸留於波斯王所、

蓋主將以大呼、與天使長之聲、及上帝之角、自天而降、則宗基督而死者必先起、

同懸之犯、一謗之曰、爾非基督乎、救己及我儕也、一斥之曰、爾同服鞫、猶不畏上帝乎、

當告猶大王希西家云、爾所恃之上帝、謂耶路撒冷必不付於亞述王手、爾勿為其所欺、亞述列王之待諸國、施行翦滅、爾既聞之、而爾能得免乎、我祖所滅之邦、若歌散、哈蘭、利色、及居提拉撒之伊甸族、彼之諸神、曾救之乎、哈馬王、亞珥拔王、西法瓦音邑之王、希拿王、以瓦王、均安在哉、希西家自使者手、接書讀之、遂上耶和華室、展於耶和華前、禱耶和華曰、居基路伯上、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝歟、天下萬國、惟爾為上帝、天地為爾所造、耶和華歟、側耳而聽、耶和華歟、啟目而視、西拿基立遣使侮維生之上帝、請聽其言、耶和華歟、亞述列王毀滅列邦、荒其土地、誠有此事、投其神於火、蓋其神非神、乃木石、人手所造、故得而毀滅之、我之上帝耶和華歟、拯我脫於其手、俾天下萬國、咸知惟爾為耶和華、○

大衛出迓曰、爾若平和而來以助我、則我心與爾相契、我既無辜、爾若鬻我於敵、願我列祖之上帝鑒察之、譴責之、

毋以惡報惡、詬報詬、反為祝嘏、蓋爾為此見召、致可得福、

拉伯沙基遂立、用猶大方言、大聲呼曰、爾曹其聽大王亞述王之言、王曰、勿為希西家所欺、彼不能救爾、勿聽希西家使爾恃耶和華曰耶和華必救我、此城必不付於亞述王手、勿聽希西家、蓋亞述王曰、爾當與我修好、出而降我、則可各食己之葡萄、及無花果、各飲己井之水、迨我來遷爾至一地、如爾故土、有穀有酒、有食品、有葡萄園、爾其慎之、免受希西家之勸曰、耶和華必救我儕也、夫列邦之神、有一曾拯其國、脫於亞述王手乎、哈馬亞珥拔之神安在、西法瓦音之神安在、凡此、曾拯撒瑪利亞脫於我手乎、列邦之神、誰拯其國脫於我手、耶和華能拯耶路撒冷脫於我手乎、眾默然、不答一詞、蓋王命勿答之、

謂之曰、希西家云、今乃急難譴責羞辱之日、子臨產、而無力出之、亞述王遣拉伯沙基侮維生之上帝、爾上帝耶和華或聞其言、加以譴責、請爾為此遺民祈禱、

毋謗上帝、毋詛民長、
