In the very same way, these ungodly people act on their evil dreams. So they make their own bodies impure. They don’t accept authority. And they say evil things against heavenly beings.

这些作梦的人也像他们污秽身体，轻慢主治的，毁谤在尊位的。

照样，这些做梦的人也污秽身体，轻慢掌权者，毁谤众尊荣者。

照样，这些做梦的人也污秽身体，轻慢掌权者，毁谤众尊荣者。

同样，这些做梦的人玷污自己的身体，不服权柄，亵渎有尊荣的。

虽然是这样，这些醉生梦死的人还是照样玷污身体，藐视主权，毁谤尊荣。

不过，这些做梦的人一方面也同样地污秽身体，另一方面拒绝有主权的，又亵渎那些有荣耀的。

這些做夢的人也像他們污穢身體，輕慢主治的，毀謗在尊位的。

照樣，這些做夢的人也污穢身體，輕慢掌權者，毀謗眾尊榮者。

同樣，這些作夢的人玷污自己的身體，不服權柄，褻瀆有尊榮的。

雖然是這樣，這些醉生夢死的人還是照樣玷污身體，藐視主權，毀謗尊榮。

然而照樣子、這些人還是在夢中染污肉體，棄絕主尊，謗讟「眾榮耀」的靈。

不過，這些做夢的人一方面也同樣地汙穢身體，另一方面拒絕有主權的，又褻瀆那些有榮耀的。

但斯人於夢幻中、亦如是污衊形軀、藐忽執政、謗讟尊榮、

若此之人、等諸夢幻、污衊其身、藐視執政、譭謗尊者、

此等夢寐者、亦若是污其身、藐視執政者、毀謗居尊位者、

今日之醉生夢死、玷身辱體目無主宰、凌辱天神者、亦復如是、

In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings.

Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones.

In the same way, these people— who claim authority from their dreams— live immoral lives, defy authority, and scoff at supernatural beings.

In the same way these people— relying on their dreams— defile their flesh, reject authority, and slander glorious ones.

Yet in the same way these people also, dreaming, defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak abusively of angelic majesties.

Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.

Yet in like manner these also in their dreamings defile the flesh, and set at nought dominion, and rail at dignities.

Nevertheless, these dreamers likewise defile their flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme glorious ones.

Likewise also these[ filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Yet these men, as a result of their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and insult the glorious ones.

Yet in the same way, these also in their dreaming defile the flesh, despise authority, and slander celestial beings.

Trust in your leaders. Put yourselves under their authority. Do this, because they keep watch over you. They know they are accountable to God for everything they do. Do this, so that their work will be a joy. If you make their work a heavy load, it won’t do you any good.

It is for those who commit sexual sins. It is for those who commit homosexual acts. It is for people who buy and sell slaves. It is for liars. It is for people who tell lies in court. It is for those who are a witness to things that aren’t true. And it is for anything else that is the opposite of true teaching.

Show proper respect to everyone. Love the family of believers. Have respect for God. Honor the emperor.

Most of all, this is true of people who follow desires that come from sin’s power. These people hate to be under authority. They are bold and proud. So they aren’t even afraid to speak evil things against heavenly beings.Now angels are stronger and more powerful than these people. But even angels don’t speak evil things against heavenly beings. They don’t do this when they bring judgment on them from the Lord.These people speak evil about things they don’t understand. They are like wild animals who can’t think. Instead, they do what comes naturally to them. They are born only to be caught and destroyed. Just like animals, these people too will die.

Don’t say bad things about the king. Don’t even think about those things. Don’t curse rich people. Don’t even curse them in your bedroom. A bird might fly away and carry your words. It might report what you said.

Paul replied,“ Brothers, I didn’t realize he was the high priest. It is written,‘ Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’ ”( Exodus 22:28)

“ But those he ruled over hated him. They sent some messengers after him. They were sent to say,‘ We don’t want this man to be our king.’

Suppose the officials find out that I’ve talked with you. And suppose they come to you and say,‘ Tell us what you said to the king. Tell us what the king said to you. Don’t hide it from us. If you do, we’ll kill you.’Then tell them,‘ I was begging the king not to send me back to Jonathan’s house. I don’t want to die there.’ ”All the officials came to Jeremiah. And they questioned him. He told them everything the king had ordered him to say. None of them had heard what he told the king. So they didn’t say anything else to him.Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard. He stayed there until the day Jerusalem was captured. Here is how Jerusalem was captured.

They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron. They said to Moses and Aaron,“ You have gone too far! The whole community is holy. Every one in it is holy. And the Lord is with them. So why do you put yourselves above the Lord’ s people?”

“ But the man who was treating the other one badly pushed Moses to one side. He said,‘ Who made you ruler and judge over us?

Why do the nations plan evil together? Why do they make useless plans?The kings of the earth rise up against the Lord. The rulers of the earth join together against his anointed king.“ Let us break free from their chains,” they say.“ Let us throw off their ropes.”The God who sits on his throne in heaven laughs. The Lord makes fun of those rulers and their plans.When he is angry, he warns them. When his anger blazes out, he terrifies them.He says to them,“ I have placed my king on my holy mountain of Zion.”

“ Do not speak evil things against God. Do not curse the ruler of your people.

If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. God’s temple is holy. And you all together are that temple.

But even Michael, the leader of the angels, didn’t dare to say these things. He didn’t even say these things when he argued with the devil about the body of Moses. Michael didn’t dare to judge the devil. He didn’t say the devil was guilty of saying evil things. Instead, Michael said,“ May the Lord judge you!”But these people say evil things against whatever they don’t understand. And the very things they do understand will destroy them. That’s because they are like wild animals that can’t think for themselves. Instead, they do what comes naturally to them.

“ One person makes fun of their father. Another doesn’t honor their mother when she is old. The ravens of the valley will peck out their eyes. Then the vultures will eat them.

“ God knows that when you eat fruit from that tree, you will know things you have never known before. Like God, you will be able to tell the difference between good and evil.”

May the Lord close all lips that don’t mean what they say. May he stop every tongue that brags.They say,“ What we speak with our tongues will win the battle. What we say with our lips will keep us safe. No one will have victory over us.”

“ Some people curse their fathers. Others don’t bless their mothers.

Then Moses sent for Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab. But they said,“ We won’t come!You have brought us up out of a land that has plenty of milk and honey. You have brought us here to kill us in this desert. Isn’t that enough? Now do you also want to act as if you were ruling over us?

Suppose someone refuses to accept our teaching. They are not turning their back on us. They are turning their back on God. This same God gives you his Holy Spirit.

“ But our people refused to obey Moses. They would not accept him. In their hearts, they wished they were back in Egypt.
