Yet these men, as a result of their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and insult the glorious ones.

但斯人於夢幻中、亦如是污衊形軀、藐忽執政、謗讟尊榮、

若此之人、等諸夢幻、污衊其身、藐視執政、譭謗尊者、

此等夢寐者、亦若是污其身、藐視執政者、毀謗居尊位者、

今日之醉生夢死、玷身辱體目無主宰、凌辱天神者、亦復如是、

In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings.

In the very same way, these ungodly people act on their evil dreams. So they make their own bodies impure. They don’t accept authority. And they say evil things against heavenly beings.

Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones.

In the same way, these people— who claim authority from their dreams— live immoral lives, defy authority, and scoff at supernatural beings.

In the same way these people— relying on their dreams— defile their flesh, reject authority, and slander glorious ones.

Yet in the same way these people also, dreaming, defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak abusively of angelic majesties.

Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.

Yet in like manner these also in their dreamings defile the flesh, and set at nought dominion, and rail at dignities.

Nevertheless, these dreamers likewise defile their flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme glorious ones.

Likewise also these[ filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Yet in the same way, these also in their dreaming defile the flesh, despise authority, and slander celestial beings.

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls and will give an account for their work. Let them do this with joy and not with complaints, for this would be no advantage for you.

sexually immoral people, practicing homosexuals, kidnappers, liars, perjurers– in fact, for any who live contrary to sound teaching.

Honor all people, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the king.

especially those who indulge their fleshly desires and who despise authority. Brazen and insolent, they are not afraid to insult the glorious ones,yet even angels, who are much more powerful, do not bring a slanderous judgment against them before the Lord.But these men, like irrational animals– creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed– do not understand whom they are insulting, and consequently in their destruction they will be destroyed,

Do not curse a king even in your thoughts, and do not curse the rich while in your bedroom; for a bird might report what you are thinking, or some winged creature might repeat your words.

Paul replied,“ I did not realize, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written,‘ You must not speak evil about a ruler of your people.’”

But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying,‘ We do not want this man to be king over us!’

The officials may hear that I have talked with you. They may come to you and say,‘ Tell us what you said to the king and what the king said to you. Do not hide anything from us. If you do, we will kill you.’If they do this, tell them,‘ I was pleading with the king not to send me back to die in the dungeon of Jonathan’s house.’”All the officials did indeed come and question Jeremiah. He told them exactly what the king had instructed him to say. They stopped questioning him any further because no one had actually heard their conversation.So Jeremiah remained confined in the courtyard of the guardhouse until the day Jerusalem was captured. The following events occurred when Jerusalem was captured.

And they assembled against Moses and Aaron, saying to them,“ You take too much upon yourselves, seeing that the whole community is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the community of the LORD?”

But the man who was unfairly hurting his neighbor pushed Moses aside, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and judge over us?

Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail?The kings of the earth form a united front; the rulers collaborate against the LORD and his anointed king.They say,“ Let’s tear off the shackles they’ve put on us! Let’s free ourselves from their ropes!”The one enthroned in heaven laughs in disgust; the Lord taunts them.Then he angrily speaks to them and terrifies them in his rage, saying,“ I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”

“ You must not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people.

If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.

But even when Michael the archangel was arguing with the devil and debating with him concerning Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a slanderous judgment, but said,“ May the Lord rebuke you!”But these men do not understand the things they slander, and they are being destroyed by the very things that, like irrational animals, they instinctively comprehend.

The eye that mocks at a father and despises obeying a mother– the ravens of the valley will peck it out and the young vultures will eat it.

for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil.”

May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts!They say,“ We speak persuasively; we know how to flatter and boast. Who is our master?”

There is a generation who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers.

Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, but they said,“ We will not come up.Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of the land that flows with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness? Now do you want to make yourself a prince over us?

Consequently the one who rejects this is not rejecting human authority but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

Our ancestors were unwilling to obey him, but pushed him aside and turned back to Egypt in their hearts,
