爾雖悉知之、我今欲令爾憶之、即主救民出埃及地、後滅其不信者、

維爾知之素、欲俾爾憶之、昔主救民出埃及地、後滅諸不信者、

爾雖素知之、我仍欲使爾記憶、昔主救民出伊及、後滅諸不信者、

予茲所欲言者、無非爾所習聞素諳、第欲予爾以警惕耳。在昔主既拯斯民於埃及、厥後其中有狐疑不信者、主乃予以消滅。

Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.

I want to remind you about some things you already know. The Lord saved his people. At one time he brought them out of Egypt. But later he destroyed those who did not believe.

Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful.

because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice,they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it.But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valley; tomorrow turn and move out into the wilderness by the Way of the Red Sea.”And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,“ How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me? I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me.Say to them,‘ As I live,’ says the Lord,‘ just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you:The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above.Except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun, you shall by no means enter the land which I swore I would make you dwell in.But your little ones, whom you said would be victims, I will bring in, and they shall know the land which you have despised.But as for you, your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness.And your sons shall be shepherds in the wilderness forty years, and bear the brunt of your infidelity, until your carcasses are consumed in the wilderness.According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, for each day you shall bear your guilt one year, namely forty years, and you shall know My rejection.I the Lord have spoken this. I will surely do so to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.’”Now the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation complain against him by bringing a bad report of the land,those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the Lord.

For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses?Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

Therefore He raised His hand in an oath against them, To overthrow them in the wilderness,

For indeed the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp until they were consumed.“ So it was, when all the men of war had finally perished from among the people,

Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea,all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,all ate the same spiritual food,and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written,“ The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell;nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents;nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle( in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder),

Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God,

For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,
