維爾知之素、欲俾爾憶之、昔主救民出埃及地、後滅諸不信者、

爾雖素知之、我仍欲使爾記憶、昔主救民出伊及、後滅諸不信者、

予茲所欲言者、無非爾所習聞素諳、第欲予爾以警惕耳。在昔主既拯斯民於埃及、厥後其中有狐疑不信者、主乃予以消滅。

Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.

I want to remind you about some things you already know. The Lord saved his people. At one time he brought them out of Egypt. But later he destroyed those who did not believe.

Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful.

斯民既於埃及暨曠野、見我榮光、及所行之異蹟、而猶試我、至於十次、不聽我言、必不得見我所誓於厥祖之地、凡輕視我者、皆不得見之、惟我僕迦勒、性質殊異於眾、專從乎我、所往之地、必導之入、其裔據以為業、今亞瑪力與迦南人、居於斯谷、詰旦爾其旋返、道由紅海、而往曠野、○耶和華諭摩西亞倫曰、此惡會眾、我忍之將至何時、以色列族怨我之言、我聞之矣、當告之曰、耶和華云、我指己生以誓、必依爾言而行、爾尸必僵於斯野、爾中見核而怨我者、自二十歲以上、俱不得入、我誓賜爾以居之地、惟耶孚尼子迦勒、及嫩之子約書亞入之、爾之幼穉、爾言將被虜者、我必導入、得識爾所蔑視之土、惟爾之尸、必僵於野、爾之子女、緣爾狥欲、必負其罪、流離於野、歷四十年、迨爾尸骸消滅、爾窺厥地、歷四十日、今將以日易年、爾負其罪、歷四十載、使知我離逖焉、我耶和華既言之、必行之於此惡會眾、集攻我者、俾其亡於斯野、盡皆消滅、摩西所遣窺地之人、返而毀之、致會眾怨摩西、咸遘疫癘、死於耶和華前、

其聞而激怒者誰耶、非從摩西出埃及之眾乎、又四十年彼所不悅者誰耶、非干罰而屍仆於野者乎、又誓之不得入其安息者誰耶、非不順從者乎、由是觀之、彼不得入、不信故也、既有入其安息之許、故宜戒懼、免爾或有不及之者、蓋福音宣於我儕、如於彼然、但所聞無益於彼、因聞之者不以信融洽之也、

彼遂舉手而誓曰、必仆之於野、

蓋耶和華攻之、使盡滅於營中、○民中武士、既已盡滅、

兄弟乎、我欲爾知、昔我列祖皆在雲下、徑行海中、皆受洗於雲海、以歸摩西、皆食一靈食、皆飲一靈飲、蓋所飲者、出自相隨之靈磐、夫磐即基督也、然其人多為上帝所不悅、故傾覆於野、此為我鑑、使勿嗜惡如彼焉、勿拜像、如彼有拜之者、如經云、民坐而飲食、起而嬉戲、勿行淫、如彼有行之者、一日殞二萬三千人、勿試主、如彼有試之者、而亡於蛇、勿怨尤、如彼有怨尤者、而為滅者所滅、夫彼所遇者、可為鑑戒、載之於經、以警我末世之人、故自以為立者、慎勿傾也、

愛友乎、我今以此後書遺爾、俱以勵爾誠心、俾爾記憶、

我毅然致書、使爾記憶、因上帝賜我之恩、

爾雖知此、且堅定於所得之真理、我必恆使爾憶之、我尚在此幕時、勉爾記憶、宜也、
