夫遵上帝道而憂者、其悔改無後悔、而得救、從世俗而憂者、致人於死、惟爾遵上帝道而憂、所以殷勤、自訴、怨艾、恐懼、戀慕、熱中、自責、若是、故爾得以此自表為潔、吾書遺爾、非因虧人與受虧者、直欲明我慕爾在上帝前、

寢食於宅者、必澣其衣。

吾身雖遠、而神馳左右、若與爾同在、定擬犯此者、賴吾主耶穌基督名、俾爾曹會集、而吾神與爾相契、托吾主耶穌基督權、交彼與撒但、以苦其身、俾於吾主耶穌基督臨日、救其靈魂、

毋自欺也、與惡人交、喪吾德、

彼若瞽者、往來於市、血染其衣、人不能捫兮。

其污所玷、或衣或皮、俱蒙不潔、當澣以水、迨夕乃免。

吾以書遺爾、勿與淫者交、然我所謂淫、非概言世之行淫者、蓋貪婪、殘酷、拜偶像之徒、苟欲擯弗與交、必避世乃可、吾書遺爾、若既稱為兄弟、而淫亂、貪婪、拜偶像、詬誶、沉湎、殘酷、則勿與之交、亦勿與共食、

我書所命、人有弗從、則誌其人勿與交、俾自愧勵、

欲激二三骨肉之親以救之、

我為爾謀、當求煆煉之金於我、則可致富、亦求白衣自衣、以免裸裎、庶無愧怍、求膏膏爾目、則得見、
