最重要的，你们应当知道：在末后的日子，必定有好讥笑的人出来，随着自己的私欲讥笑说：

我知道在我离开之后，必有凶暴的豺狼进入你们中间，不顾惜羊群。

因为时候快要到了，人必容不下纯正的道理，反而耳朵发痒，随着自己的私欲，增添许多教师，

从前在人民中，曾有假先知出来；照样，将来在你们中间，也必有假教师出现。他们偷偷把使人灭亡的异端引进来，甚至否认那曾经买赎他们的主，迅速地自取灭亡。

愚顽人心里说：“没有神。”他们都是败坏，行了可憎的事，没有一个行善的。（本节在《马索拉文本》包括细字标题）耶和华从天上察看世人，要看看有明慧的没有，有寻求神的没有。

这些人常发牢骚，怨天尤人，顺着自己的私欲行事，口说夸张的话，为了利益就不惜阿谀奉承。

圣灵明明地说，日后必有人离弃信仰，跟从虚谎的邪灵和鬼魔的教训。这教训是出于说谎的人的虚伪，他们的良心好像被烧红的铁烙了一般。

但恶人和骗子必越来越坏，他们欺骗人，也必受欺骗。

你应当知道，末后的日子必有艰难的时期来到。那时，人会专爱自己、贪爱钱财、自夸、高傲、亵渎、悖逆父母、忘恩负义、不圣洁、没有亲情、不肯和解、恶言中伤、不能自律、横蛮凶暴、不爱良善、卖主卖友、容易冲动、傲慢自大、爱享乐过于爱神，有敬虔的形式，却否定敬虔的能力；这些人你应当避开。
