彼在爾相愛之筵席、如礙石、如礙石或作為瑕為玷與爾同食、惟知自飽、無所忌憚、彼等如無雨之雲、為風所飄、如秋後無果之樹、死而又死、根株盡拔、

在爾等愛席之上、彼必與共、惟有恣其口腹、靦然自飽、以玷爾清潔耳。此輩實同無雨之雲、為風所逐；秋後之樹、不結果實；外枯中乾、根株盡拔。

These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm— shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted— twice dead.

These ungodly people are like stains at the meals you share. They have no shame. They are shepherds who feed only themselves. They are like clouds without rain. They are blown along by the wind. They are like trees in the fall. Since they have no fruit, they are pulled out of the ground. So they die twice.

These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted;

When these people eat with you in your fellowship meals commemorating the Lord’s love, they are like dangerous reefs that can shipwreck you. They are like shameless shepherds who care only for themselves. They are like clouds blowing over the land without giving any rain. They are like trees in autumn that are doubly dead, for they bear no fruit and have been pulled up by the roots.

These people are dangerous reefs at your love feasts as they eat with you without reverence. They are shepherds who only look after themselves. They are waterless clouds carried along by winds; trees in late autumn— fruitless, twice dead and uprooted.

These are the ones who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, like shepherds caring only for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted;

These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;

These people are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them.For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error.They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity— for“ people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. (niv)

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.“ I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. (niv)

Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet? (niv)

Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. (niv)

“ Say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Will it thrive? Will it not be uprooted and stripped of its fruit so that it withers? All its new growth will wither. It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it up by the roots. (niv)

then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. (niv)

Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it,“ May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.When the disciples saw this, they were amazed.“ How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked. (niv)

They ate till they were gorged— he had given them what they craved.But before they turned from what they craved, even while the food was still in their mouths,God’s anger rose against them; he put to death the sturdiest among them, cutting down the young men of Israel. (niv)

They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed— an accursed brood! (niv)

“ Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. (niv)

In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.Peter remembered and said to Jesus,“ Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” (niv)

So then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat,for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers. As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk.Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God by humiliating those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? Certainly not in this matter! (niv)

It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming ageand who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned. (niv)
