So our elders and all the inhabitants of our land told us,‘ Take provisions with you for the journey; go and meet them and say,“ We are your servants. Please make a treaty with us.”’

故我長老與我地居民、謂我曰、當裹途間餱糧、往見以色列人曰、願為爾僕、今求爾與我立約、

And our elders and all those living in our country said to us,‘ Take provisions for your journey; go and meet them and say to them,“ We are your servants; make a treaty with us.”’

Our elders and all the people living in our country spoke to us. They said,‘ Take supplies for your trip. Go and meet the Israelites. Say to them,“ We’ll serve you. Make a peace treaty with us.” ’

So our elders and all the inhabitants of our country said to us,‘ Take provisions in your hand for the journey and go to meet them and say to them,“ We are your servants. Come now, make a covenant with us.”’

So our elders and all our people instructed us,‘ Take supplies for a long journey. Go meet with the people of Israel and tell them,“ We are your servants; please make a treaty with us.”’

So our elders and all the inhabitants of our land told us,‘ Take provisions with you for the journey; go and meet them and say,“ We are your servants. Please make a treaty with us.”’

So our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying,‘ Take provisions in your hand for the journey, and go to meet them, and say to them,“ We are your servants; now then, make a covenant with us.” ’

Therefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying,‘ Take provisions with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say to them,“ We are your servants; now therefore, make a covenant with us.”’

And our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take provision in your hand for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: and now make ye a covenant with us.

Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We[ are] your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.

Our leaders and all who live in our land told us,‘ Take provisions for your journey and go meet them. Tell them,“ We are willing to be your subjects. Make a treaty with us.”’

Our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying,‘ Take supplies in your hand for the journey, and go to meet them. Tell them,“ We are your servants. Now make a covenant with us.”’

In every province and every city, wherever the king’s command and his law reached, joy and rejoicing took place among the Jews. There was a celebration and a holiday. And many of the ethnic groups of the land professed themselves to be Jews because fear of the Jews had overcome them.

They said to Joshua,“ We are your servants.” Then Joshua asked them,“ Who are you and where do you come from?”

Don’t take along gold, silver, or copper for your money-belts.Don’t take a traveling bag for the road, or an extra shirt, sandals, or a walking stick, for the worker is worthy of his food.

“ Take nothing for the road,” He told them,“ no walking stick, no traveling bag, no bread, no money; and don’t take an extra shirt.

“ Go through the camp and tell the people,‘ Get provisions ready for yourselves, for within three days you will be crossing the Jordan to go in and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you to inherit.’”

Take twice as much money with you. Return the money that was returned to you in the top of your bags. Perhaps it was a mistake.
