以斯拉禱告，認罪，哭泣，俯伏在神殿前的時候，有以色列中的男女和孩童聚集到以斯拉那裏，成了一個盛大的會，百姓無不痛哭。

幾天之後，我們又出發前行。他們眾人同妻子兒女都送我們到城外，我們都跪在灘上禱告，彼此辭別。

聚集百姓，使會眾自潔；召集老年人，聚集孩童和在母懷吃奶的；使新郎出內室，新娘離開洞房。

耶穌看見就很生氣，對門徒說：「讓小孩到我這裏來，不要阻止他們，因為在神國的正是這樣的人。

你們的妻子兒女、你營中寄居的，從為你砍柴到為你挑水的人，

又有許多不同族羣的人，以及眾多的羊羣牛羣，和他們一同上去。

因為神一切的旨意，我並沒有退縮不傳給你們的。

我吩咐你們的話，你們不可加添，也不可刪減，好叫你們遵守耶和華－你們神的命令，就是我所吩咐你們的。
