以斯拉祷告，认罪，哭泣，俯伏在神殿前的时候，有以色列中的男女和孩童聚集到以斯拉那里，成了一个盛大的会，百姓无不痛哭。

几天之后，我们又出发前行。他们众人同妻子儿女都送我们到城外，我们都跪在滩上祷告，彼此辞别。

聚集百姓，使会众自洁；召集老年人，聚集孩童和在母怀吃奶的；使新郎出内室，新娘离开洞房。

耶稣看见就很生气，对门徒说：“让小孩到我这里来，不要阻止他们，因为在神国的正是这样的人。

你们的妻子儿女、你营中寄居的，从为你砍柴到为你挑水的人，

又有许多不同族群的人，以及众多的羊群牛群，和他们一同上去。

因为神一切的旨意，我并没有退缩不传给你们的。

我吩咐你们的话，你们不可加添，也不可删减，好叫你们遵守耶和华—你们神的命令，就是我所吩咐你们的。
