All the Israelites, with their elders, officials and judges, were standing on both sides of the ark of the covenant of the Lord, facing the Levitical priests who carried it. Both the foreigners living among them and the native- born were there. Half of the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of the Lord had formerly commanded when he gave instructions to bless the people of Israel.

They were standing on both sides of the ark of the covenant of the Lord. All the Israelites, including outsiders and citizens, were there. Israel’s elders, officials and judges were also there. All of them faced the priests, who were Levites. They were carrying the ark. Half of the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim. The other half stood in front of Mount Ebal. Moses, the servant of the Lord, had earlier told them to do it. Moses told them to do it when he had given directions to bless the Israelites.

And all Israel, sojourner as well as native born, with their elders and officers and their judges, stood on opposite sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, half of them in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded at the first, to bless the people of Israel.

Then all the Israelites— foreigners and native born alike— along with the elders, officers, and judges, were divided into two groups. One group stood in front of Mount Gerizim, the other in front of Mount Ebal. Each group faced the other, and between them stood the Levitical priests carrying the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant. This was all done according to the commands that Moses, the servant of the Lord, had previously given for blessing the people of Israel.

All Israel— resident alien and citizen alike— with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on either side of the ark of the LORD’s covenant facing the Levitical priests who carried it. Half of them were in front of Mount Gerizim and half in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the LORD’s servant had commanded earlier concerning blessing the people of Israel.

And all Israel with their elders, officers, and their judges were standing on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, the stranger as well as the native. Half of them stood in front of Mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded at first to bless the people of Israel.

Then all Israel, with their elders and officers and judges, stood on either side of the ark before the priests, the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, the stranger as well as he who was born among them. All Israel, foreigner and citizen alike, with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on either side of the ark of the Lord’s covenant facing the Levitical priests who carried it. As Moses the Lord’s servant had commanded earlier, half of them were in front of Mount Gerizim and half in front of Mount Ebal, to bless the people of Israel.

And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.

All the people, rulers, leaders, and judges were standing on either side of the ark, in front of the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD. Both resident foreigners and native Israelites were there. Half the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and the other half in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the LORD’s servant had previously instructed to them to do for the formal blessing ceremony.

All Israel, with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests, who carried the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, the foreigner as well as the native; half of them in front of Mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of Yahweh had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.

當耶和華－你的神領你進入要得為業的那地，你就要在基利心山上宣佈祝福，在以巴路山上宣佈詛咒。

要召集百姓，男人、女人、孩子，和在你城裏寄居的，叫他們都得以聽見，好學習敬畏耶和華－你們的神，謹守遵行這律法的一切話。

摩西寫下這律法，交給抬耶和華約櫃的利未人祭司和以色列的眾長老。

當日，摩西吩咐百姓說：「你們過了約旦河，西緬、利未、猶大、以薩迦、約瑟和便雅憫等支派的人要站在基利心山上為百姓祝福。呂便、迦得、亞設、西布倫、但和拿弗他利等支派的人要站在以巴路山上宣佈詛咒。利未人要大聲對以色列眾人說：

以色列中的本地人和寄居在他們中間的外人，若無意中犯了罪，都要遵守同一律法。

摩西吩咐抬耶和華約櫃的利未人說：

吩咐百姓說：「當你們看見利未家的祭司抬着耶和華－你們神的約櫃的時候，你們就要起行離開所住的地方，跟着約櫃走，

本地人和寄居在你們中間的外人當守同一個條例。」

抬耶和華約櫃的祭司從約旦河中上來，腳掌一落乾地，約旦河的水就流回原處，仍舊漲滿兩岸。

你們和寄居在你們那裏的外人要遵守同一律法，同一典章。」

那時，約書亞在以巴路山上為耶和華－以色列的神築一座壇。這壇是照耶和華的僕人摩西吩咐以色列人，用沒有動過鐵器的整塊石頭所築的，正如摩西律法書上所寫的。他們在這壇上給耶和華奉獻燔祭，又宰牲作為平安祭。約書亞在那裏，當着以色列人面前，將摩西所寫的律法抄寫在石頭上。

約書亞召集以色列的眾支派到示劍，他召了以色列的長老、領袖、審判官和官長來；他們都站在神面前。

就召了全以色列的眾長老、領袖、審判官和官長來，對他們說：「我年紀已經老邁。

大衛召來撒督和亞比亞他二位祭司，以及利未人烏列、亞帥雅、約珥、示瑪雅、以利業、亞米拿達，對他們說：「你們是利未人的族長，你們和你們的弟兄應當使自己分別為聖，好將耶和華－以色列神的約櫃接到我所預備的地方。因為你們上一次沒有抬這約櫃，並且我們沒有按規矩求問耶和華－我們的神，所以他衝出來攻擊我們。」於是祭司和利未人使自己分別為聖，將耶和華－以色列神的約櫃接上來。利未子孫用槓，把神的約櫃抬在肩上，正如摩西按照耶和華的話所吩咐的。

百姓起行離開帳棚過約旦河的時候，抬約櫃的祭司在百姓的前面。

無論是寄居的，是本地人，都依照同一條例。我是耶和華－你們的神。」

「今日你們全都要站在耶和華－你們的神面前，就是各領袖、族長、長老、官長、以色列所有的男子、你們的妻子兒女、你營中寄居的，從為你砍柴到為你挑水的人，

約書亞對祭司說：「你們抬起約櫃，在百姓的前面過去。」於是他們抬起約櫃，走在百姓前面。

抬約櫃的祭司站在約旦河的中間，直到耶和華命令約書亞告訴百姓的一切事辦完為止，正如摩西所吩咐約書亞的一切話。於是，百姓急速過了河。

嫩的兒子約書亞召了祭司來，對他們說：「你們抬起約櫃來，要有七個祭司拿七個羊角在耶和華的約櫃前。」
