as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the Israelites. He built it according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses— an altar of uncut stones, on which no iron tool had been used. On it they offered to the Lord burnt offerings and sacrificed fellowship offerings.

Moses, the servant of the Lord, had commanded the Israelites to do that. Joshua built the altar according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses. Joshua built the altar out of stones that iron tools had never touched. Then the people offered on the altar burnt offerings to the Lord. They also sacrificed friendship offerings on it.

由羔取所當焚獻者、以頒於民、循其宗族、俾獻於主、循摩西之書所載、由牛取者亦若是、或作將祭牲移之以頒於民循其宗族俾獻於主循摩西之書所載

此後約書亞宣讀律法書論賜福降禍之諸言、或作宜讀作法諸言無論祝福詛咒皆律法書所載、凡摩西所命者、約書亞於以色列會眾、與其婦人子女、及其中往來之外邦客旅前、皆宣讀之、不遺一言、

當日、人誦摩西書、俾民俱聞、遇書中所載云、亞捫人、摩押人、永不得入天主之會、

祭司希勒家謂繕寫沙番曰、我在主殿得律法書、希勒家以書授沙番、沙番讀之、

遂使祭司與利未人、循其班列、在耶路撒冷奉事天主、遵摩西之書所載、

但不誅弒王者之子、循摩西律法書所載、主命云、不可因子殺父、亦不可因父殺子、人有犯罪、祗殺其人、

遣以色列中之少者、以牛獻於主前、為火焚祭、為平安祭、

若撒但逐撒但、是自相分爭、其國何以立乎、
