as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the Israelites. He built it according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses— an altar of uncut stones, on which no iron tool had been used. On it they offered to the Lord burnt offerings and sacrificed fellowship offerings.

Moses, the servant of the Lord, had commanded the Israelites to do that. Joshua built the altar according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses. Joshua built the altar out of stones that iron tools had never touched. Then the people offered on the altar burnt offerings to the Lord. They also sacrificed friendship offerings on it.

just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the people of Israel, as it is written in the Book of the Law of Moses,“ an altar of uncut stones, upon which no man has wielded an iron tool.” And they offered on it burnt offerings to the Lord and sacrificed peace offerings.

He followed the commands that Moses the Lord’s servant had written in the Book of Instruction:“ Make me an altar from stones that are uncut and have not been shaped with iron tools.” Then on the altar they presented burnt offerings and peace offerings to the Lord.

你要為我築一座土壇，把你的燔祭、平安祭和牛羊獻在壇上；在我使人記念我名的地方，我都必到你那裡去賜福你。你若是為我築一座石壇，不可用鑿過的石頭來建築，因為你在石頭上一動用工具，就把壇污穢了。

在那裡你要為耶和華你的神築一座石壇，在石頭上你不可動鐵器。你要用沒有鑿過的整塊石頭築耶和華你的神的壇；在壇上你要獻上燔祭給耶和華你的神；又要獻上平安祭，並且在那裡吃喝；也要在耶和華你的神面前歡樂。

以利亞照著雅各子孫支派的數目，拿了十二塊石頭。（耶和華的話曾臨到雅各說：“你的名要叫以色列。”）以利亞奉耶和華的名用這些石頭築了一座壇，在壇的四周挖溝，可容十四公升種籽，

把作燔祭的部分拿去，按著各家族的系別分給眾民，使他們可以照著摩西的書上所寫的，奉獻給耶和華。奉獻公牛也是這樣。

然後，約書亞宣讀律法上一切祝福和咒詛的話，全都照著律法書上所寫的一切。摩西吩咐的一切話，約書亞在以色列全體會眾和婦女、小孩，以及在他們中間來往的寄居者面前，沒有一句不向他們宣讀出來的。

那時，他們宣讀摩西的書給眾民聽，見書上寫著說：亞捫人和摩押人永遠不可進入神的會，

希勒家大祭司對書記沙番說：“我在耶和華的殿裡找到了一卷律法書。”他把書卷交給沙番；沙番就閱讀那書卷。

他們又照著摩西書上所寫，委派祭司按著編制，利未人按著班次，在耶路撒冷神的殿中事奉。

但他們的兒子沒有處死，這是按照摩西律法書上所寫，是耶和華的吩咐：“不可因兒子的罪處死父親，也不可因父親的罪處死兒子；各人要因自己的罪而死。”

又派了以色列人中的青年人去獻燔祭，又向耶和華殺牛獻為平安祭。

如果撒但趕逐撒但，就會自相紛爭。那麼，他的國怎能站立得住呢？

他卻沒有處死他們的兒子，因為照著摩西律法書上所記，耶和華曾吩咐：“不可因兒子的罪處死父親，也不可因父親的罪處死兒子；各人要因自己的罪被處死。”

摩西的岳父葉忒羅把燔祭和幾樣祭品拿來獻給神；亞倫和所有以色列的長老都來到神面前，與摩西的岳父一同吃飯。

這律法書不可離開你的口，要晝夜默誦，好使你謹守遵行書中所記的一切；這樣，你的道路就必順利，你必一路亨通。
