as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the Israelites. He built it according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses— an altar of uncut stones, on which no iron tool had been used. On it they offered to the Lord burnt offerings and sacrificed fellowship offerings.

Moses, the servant of the Lord, had commanded the Israelites to do that. Joshua built the altar according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses. Joshua built the altar out of stones that iron tools had never touched. Then the people offered on the altar burnt offerings to the Lord. They also sacrificed friendship offerings on it.

just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the people of Israel, as it is written in the Book of the Law of Moses,“ an altar of uncut stones, upon which no man has wielded an iron tool.” And they offered on it burnt offerings to the Lord and sacrificed peace offerings.

你要为我筑一座土坛，把你的燔祭、平安祭和牛羊献在坛上；在我使人记念我名的地方，我都必到你那里去赐福你。你若是为我筑一座石坛，不可用凿过的石头来建筑，因为你在石头上一动用工具，就把坛污秽了。

在那里你要为耶和华你的神筑一座石坛，在石头上你不可动铁器。你要用没有凿过的整块石头筑耶和华你的神的坛；在坛上你要献上燔祭给耶和华你的神；又要献上平安祭，并且在那里吃喝；也要在耶和华你的神面前欢乐。

以利亚照着雅各子孙支派的数目，拿了十二块石头。（耶和华的话曾临到雅各说：“你的名要叫以色列。”）以利亚奉耶和华的名用这些石头筑了一座坛，在坛的四周挖沟，可容十四公升种籽，

把作燔祭的部分拿去，按着各家族的系别分给众民，使他们可以照着摩西的书上所写的，奉献给耶和华。奉献公牛也是这样。

然后，约书亚宣读律法上一切祝福和咒诅的话，全都照着律法书上所写的一切。摩西吩咐的一切话，约书亚在以色列全体会众和妇女、小孩，以及在他们中间来往的寄居者面前，没有一句不向他们宣读出来的。

那时，他们宣读摩西的书给众民听，见书上写着说：亚扪人和摩押人永远不可进入神的会，

希勒家大祭司对书记沙番说：“我在耶和华的殿里找到了一卷律法书。”他把书卷交给沙番；沙番就阅读那书卷。

他们又照着摩西书上所写，委派祭司按着编制，利未人按着班次，在耶路撒冷神的殿中事奉。

但他们的儿子没有处死，这是按照摩西律法书上所写，是耶和华的吩咐：“不可因儿子的罪处死父亲，也不可因父亲的罪处死儿子；各人要因自己的罪而死。”

又派了以色列人中的青年人去献燔祭，又向耶和华杀牛献为平安祭。

如果撒但赶逐撒但，就会自相纷争。那么，他的国怎能站立得住呢？

他却没有处死他们的儿子，因为照着摩西律法书上所记，耶和华曾吩咐：“不可因儿子的罪处死父亲，也不可因父亲的罪处死儿子；各人要因自己的罪被处死。”

摩西的岳父叶忒罗把燔祭和几样祭品拿来献给神；亚伦和所有以色列的长老都来到神面前，与摩西的岳父一同吃饭。

这律法书不可离开你的口，要昼夜默诵，好使你谨守遵行书中所记的一切；这样，你的道路就必顺利，你必一路亨通。
