便雅憫人也出來對以色列民接戰；他們被引誘離開了城，便在兩條大路上——一條通上伯特利，一條在野外通到基比亞——像前兩次一樣，動手擊殺了一些以色列民，刺死以色列中約三十個人。

這樣，便雅憫人就看出自己已被擊敗了。先是以色列人因為倚靠對基比亞所設的伏兵，就對便雅憫讓讓步。伏兵急忙，突然衝出，逼擊基比亞；伏兵繼續前進，用刀擊殺了全城的人。以色列人同伏兵有個約號：就是從城中舉起煙峰火來。未舉峰火以前，以色列人在戰陣上轉身而退，便雅憫人就動手攻擊以色列人約三十人，刺死他們，自己心裏說：『他們真地像初次戰陣時一樣在我們面前被擊敗了。』

我呢、我和跟從我的眾人、要向城前進。城裏的人像初次出來對我們接戰時，我們要在他們面前逃跑；他們一定會出來追趕我們，直到我們引誘他們離開了城；因為他們一定會說：「這些人又要像初次在我們面前逃跑了。」所以我們要在他們面前逃跑；

他們是能行神迹的鬼魔之靈、出來到普天下列王各地、要召集他們去赴全能者上帝之大日子的戰爭的。（

說：「我要上去攻擊那無城牆的鄉村地；我要去攻擊那安然居住的安靜人；他們都住在沒有城牆的地方；門閂門扇都沒有」；我去要搶那可搶的，要劫那可劫的，要反手攻擊那從前荒廢、如今有人居住之地，攻擊那從列國中招聚回來、得了牲畜財物、住在地上臍心的人民。示巴人、底但人、他施商人和她的富豪都必問你說：「你來要搶那可搶的麼？你聚集團隊、要劫那可劫的麼？要搬運金銀，要奪取牲畜財物麼？要搶那大有可搶的麼？」『因此人子啊，你要傳神言，對歌革說：主永恆主這麼說：當我人民以色列安然居住的日子，你就必興奮激動起來，從你的地方、從北方之極處、而來，你和許多外族之民跟你一同來，都騎着馬，一大團隊，極多軍兵；你必上來攻擊我人民以色列，像密雲遮蓋那地。日後我必帶着你來攻擊我的地，歌革啊，到我在列國人眼前藉着你而彰顯為聖時，他們好認識我。『主永恆主這麼說；我在古時日子由我僕人以色列神言人們經手所說到的就是你；當那些年日以前他們曾傳神言說我要帶着你來攻以色列人。但主永恆主發神諭說：當歌革上來攻擊以色列地的日子，我的烈怒必在我臉上、沖上來。因為我懷着妒憤發震怒之火而宣說；當那日子以色列地必有大震動；甚至海中的魚、空中的飛鳥、田野的獸、和爬在地上的各樣爬行物、以及地上的眾人、也必因見了我的面而震動：眾山必崩下，陡巖必陷落，牆垣都必倒壞到平地。主永恆主發神諭說：我必呼喚刀劍在我的眾山上來攻擊歌革；各人的刀劍都必擊殺自己的弟兄。我必用瘟疫和流血的慘事來判罰他；我必下暴雨，又像下雨般地將大冰雹、火與硫磺下給他和他的部隊、以及跟隨他的許多外族民。

我看見那獸和地上的君王跟他們的眾軍、都聚集了來、要對那騎馬的和他的軍隊作戰。那獸被逮，那假神言人、就是那在獸面前行過神迹、用神迹迷惑了受獸印記和拜獸像的人的、也和獸一同被逮；這兩個活活地丟在那有硫磺燒着的火湖裏。其餘的被騎馬者口中吐出的劍殺了；眾鳥都喫飽了他們的肉。
