便雅憫人前來迎戰，被以色列人誘到城外。他們又像前兩次一樣擊殺以色列人，大約三十名以色列人死在通往基比亞和伯特利的兩條路上。

便雅憫人這才意識到自己戰敗了。原來以色列人在便雅憫人面前詐敗，因為他們已在基比亞附近設下伏兵。那些伏兵迅速衝進基比亞，殺了全城的人。以色列人和伏兵已有約定，伏兵在城內點起一股濃煙時，以色列人便轉身殺回。便雅憫人殺了詐敗的以色列軍大約三十人，以為像以前一樣打敗了他們。

我會率領軍隊正面攻城，當敵人像上次那樣出城應戰時，我們便逃跑。他們必定乘勝追擊，我們便引他們離城，因為敵人一定會以為我們又像上次一樣臨陣逃跑。

其實牠們都是鬼魔的靈，能行奇蹟。牠們到普天下召集各王，預備在全能上帝的大日子來臨時聚集爭戰。

耶和華彰顯了自己的公義，使惡人自食其果。（細拉）

你必說，我要攻打那沒有圍牆和城門保護的鄉村，毀滅那毫無戒備、安然居住的百姓。我要搶掠他們的財物，下手攻擊那曾是廢墟的城邑和從各國歸來的百姓。他們住在世界的中心，牲畜貨物甚多。示巴人、底但人以及他施的客商和首領都必問，你是來搶掠嗎？你聚集軍隊是來搶奪金銀財寶，擄掠牲畜和貨物嗎？」』「人子啊，你要發預言告訴歌革，主耶和華這樣說，『到那天，當我的以色列子民安然居住的時候，難道你會不知道嗎？你召集各國聯軍，組成龐大的軍隊，騎著馬從遙遠的北方來。歌革啊，你必如密雲一樣遮天蔽日，前來攻擊我的以色列子民。將來，我要領你來攻擊我的土地，我要在列國面前藉著你彰顯我的聖潔，使他們認識我。』「主耶和華說，『歌革啊，我從前藉我的僕人——以色列的先知所預言的那位就是你，那時他們預言我要領你上來攻擊以色列。當歌革上來攻擊以色列的時候，我必發烈怒。這是主耶和華說的。我要在義憤和烈怒中宣告，那天在以色列必有大地震。海裡的魚，空中的鳥，田野的走獸，地上的一切動物和人類都要在我面前戰慄。山嶺必倒塌，懸崖必崩裂，牆垣必坍塌。我要在我的山嶺上叫刀劍攻擊歌革人，使他們自相殘殺。這是主耶和華說的。我要用瘟疫、殺戮、暴雨、冰雹、烈火和硫磺懲罰他們和他們的聯軍。

我看見那怪獸、地上的眾王及其軍隊聚集起來，要與白馬騎士和祂的軍隊作戰。後來，怪獸被俘虜了，在怪獸面前行奇蹟的假先知也一同被擒了。這假先知曾用奇蹟欺騙那些蓋了獸印、敬拜獸像的人。他和怪獸一同被活活地扔進硫磺火湖裡。怪獸的殘兵紛紛被白馬騎士口中的利劍所殺，飛鳥飽餐了他們的肉。
