父啊，愿你荣耀你的名！”当时就有声音从天上来，说：“我已经荣耀了我的名，还要再荣耀。”

免得你领我们出来的那地之人说，耶和华因为不能将这百姓领进他所应许之地，又因恨他们，所以领他们出去，要在旷野杀他们。

若不是耶和华帮助我们，当人起来攻击我们、向我们发怒的时候，就把我们活活地吞了。

我却为我名的缘故没有这样行，免得我名在他们所住的列国人眼前被亵渎；我领他们出埃及地，在这列国人的眼前将自己向他们显现。

摩西对耶和华说：“埃及人必听见这事；因为你曾施展大能，将这百姓从他们中间领上来。

我说：‘我必将他们分散远方，使他们的名号从人间除灭。’惟恐仇敌惹动我，只怕敌人错看，说：‘是我们手的能力，并非耶和华所行的。’

我们与我们的祖宗一同犯罪；我们作了孽，行了恶。我们的祖宗在埃及不明白你的奇事，不记念你丰盛的慈爱，反倒在红海行了悖逆。然而，他因自己的名拯救他们，为要彰显他的大能，
