約書亞暨以色列族、取西喇孫亞干、與金銀衣服、及子女、牛羊、驢幕、與凡所有、至亞割谷。

擲押沙龍尸於林中巨阱、壘石其上、以色列族各歸故幕。

下我於井、置石於上、幾絶我生命兮。

必以善言慰耶路撒冷人、告之云、爾居苦境、已終其年、爾罪赦宥、耶和華以恩寵錫爾、較昔降災、其數維倍。

耶和華必為斯土熱中、矜憫其民、

當裂肺肝、毋裂衣服、歸誠爾之上帝耶和華、我以仁慈為念、矜憫為懷、恆忍靡已、施恩格外、所言降災之事、必能中止、

天使招我曰、往北方者、已雪我忿、

尼哥底母曰、能如是乎、耶穌曰、爾為以色列民師、猶未知此乎、

俱葬於掃羅父基士之墓、在便雅憫地之西拉、悉循王命、嗣後耶和華垂顧其地。○

日入時、約書亞命人下尸於木、擲於所匿之穴、塞以大石、至今尚存。○
