他們將押沙龍丟在森林中一個大坑裏，又在上頭立起一堆極大堆的石頭來；以色列眾人都逃跑，各回各家去了。

他們要了結我的性命於坑裏，又將石頭拋在我身上。

要和耶路撒冷談心，要向她宣告：她勞役的日期已滿，她對罪罰的苦行已蒙悅納，她為了自己的一切罪、已從永恆主手中加倍地受罰了。

於是永恆主就為了自己之地發熱心，憐惜他的人民。

將掃羅和他兒子約拿單的骸骨埋葬在便雅憫地的洗拉、在掃羅父親基士的墳墓裏。眾人行了王所吩咐的；此後上帝就應允了那地所懇求的。
