And Joshua said,“ Why have you brought disaster on us? The Lord will bring disaster on you this day.” And all Israel stoned them with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.

Joshua said,“ Why have you brought this trouble on us? The Lord will bring trouble on you today.” Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them.

Joshua said to Achan,“ Why have you brought this trouble on us? The Lord will bring trouble on you today.” Then all the people killed Achan by throwing stones at him. They also killed the rest of his family with stones. They burned all of them up.

And Joshua said,“ Why did you bring trouble on us? The Lord brings trouble on you today.” And all Israel stoned him with stones. They burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ Why have you brought trouble on us? The Lord will now bring trouble on you.” And all the Israelites stoned Achan and his family and burned their bodies.

Joshua said,“ Why have you brought us trouble? Today the LORD will bring you trouble!” So all Israel stoned them to death. They burned their bodies, threw stones on them,

And Joshua said,“ Why have you troubled us? The Lord will trouble you this day.” So all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.

And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? Jehovah shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire, and stoned them with stones.

Joshua said,“ Why have you troubled us? Today the Lord will trouble you!” So all Israel stoned them to death. They burned their bodies, threw stones on them,

And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones.

Joshua said,“ Why have you brought disaster on us? The LORD will bring disaster on you today!” All Israel stoned him to death.( They also stoned and burned the others.)

Joshua said,“ Why have you troubled us? Yahweh will trouble you today.” All Israel stoned him with stones, and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.

But as for you, only keep yourselves from the things designated for destruction, so that you do not covet them and take some of the designated things, and turn the camp of Israel into something designated for destruction and bring disaster on it.

The son of Carmi was Achar, the one who brought disaster on Israel by violating the ban.

then you are to bring out to your gates that man or woman who has done this evil deed, that is, the man or the woman, and you shall stone them to death.

“ Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and have all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then have all the congregation stone him.

Israel has sinned, and they have also violated My covenant which I commanded them. And they have even taken some of the things designated for destruction, and have both stolen and kept it a secret. Furthermore, they have also put them among their own things.Therefore the sons of Israel cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become designated for destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you eliminate from your midst the things designated for destruction.Stand up! Consecrate the people and say,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because the Lord, the God of Israel, has said this:“ There are things designated for destruction in your midst, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you have removed the designated things from your midst.”

“ You shall also say to the sons of Israel:‘ Anyone from the sons of Israel or from the strangers residing in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech, shall certainly be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;

Also the daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by prostitution, she profanes her father; she shall be burned with fire.

“ Will all of these not take up a song of ridicule against him, Even a saying and insinuations against him And say,‘ Woe to him who increases what is not his— For how long— And makes himself rich with debts!’Will your creditors not rise up suddenly, And those who collect from you awaken? Indeed, you will become plunder for them.Since you have looted many nations, All the rest of the peoples will loot you— Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land, To the town and all its inhabitants.“ Woe to him who makes evil profit for his household, To put his nest on high, To be saved from the hand of catastrophe!

So you shall stone him to death, because he has attempted to drive you away from the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

Then Jacob said to Simeon and Levi,“ You have brought trouble on me by making me repulsive among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites; and since my men are few in number, they will band together against me and attack me, and I will be destroyed, I and my household!”

For after all it is only right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him,“ Is this you, the cause of disaster to Israel?”He said,“ I have not brought disaster to Israel, but you and your father’s house have, because you have abandoned the commandments of the Lord and you have followed the Baals.

then they shall bring the girl out to the doorway of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death, because she has committed a disgraceful sin in Israel by playing the prostitute in her father’s house; so you shall eliminate the evil from among you.“ If a man is found sleeping with a married woman, then both of them shall die, the man who slept with the woman, and the woman; so you shall eliminate the evil from Israel.“ If there is a girl who is a virgin betrothed to a man, and another man finds her in the city and sleeps with her,then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city and you shall stone them to death: the girl, because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man, because he has violated his neighbor’s wife. So you shall eliminate the evil from among you.

And it shall be that the one who is selected with the things designated for destruction shall be burned with fire, he and all that belongs to him, because he has violated the covenant of the Lord, and because he has committed a disgraceful thing in Israel.’ ”

I wish that those who are troubling you would even emasculate themselves.

Now it was about three months later that Judah was informed,“ Your daughter in law Tamar has prostituted herself, and behold, she is also pregnant by prostitution.” Then Judah said,“ Bring her out and have her burned!”

Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death; so you shall eliminate the evil from your midst, and all Israel will hear about it and fear.

If there is a man who marries a woman and her mother, it is an outrageous sin; both he and they shall be burned with fire, so that there will be no such outrageous sin in your midst.
