Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold bar, his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys and sheep, his tent and all that he had, to the Valley of Achor.

Then Joshua and all the people grabbed Achan, the son of Zerah. They took the silver, the robe and the gold bar. They took Achan’s sons and daughters. They took his cattle, donkeys and sheep. They also took his tent and everything he had. They carried all of it out to the Valley of Achor.

And Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver and the cloak and the bar of gold, and his sons and daughters and his oxen and donkeys and sheep and his tent and all that he had. And they brought them up to the Valley of Achor.

Then Joshua and all the Israelites took Achan, the silver, the robe, the bar of gold, his sons, daughters, cattle, donkeys, sheep, goats, tent, and everything he had, and they brought them to the valley of Achor.

Then Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the cloak, and the bar of gold, his sons and daughters, his ox, donkey, and sheep, his tent, and all that he had, and brought them up to the Valley of Achor.

這地界是從亞割谷往北上到底璧，直向亞都冥斜坡對面的吉甲，就是河的南邊，這地界再經過隱‧示麥泉，直通到隱‧羅結。

沙崙必成為羊羣的圈，亞割谷成為牛羣躺臥之處，都為尋求我的民所得。

眾人在亞干身上堆了一大堆石頭，直存到今日。於是耶和華轉意，不發他的烈怒。因此，那地方名叫亞割谷，直到今日。

不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華－你的上帝是忌邪的上帝。恨我的，我必懲罰他們的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代；

但那些想要發財的人就陷在誘惑、羅網和許多無知有害的慾望中，使人沉淪，以致敗壞和滅亡。貪財是萬惡之根。有人因貪戀錢財而背離信仰，用許多愁苦把自己刺透了。

於是會眾遠離了可拉、大坍和亞比蘭的帳棚。大坍和亞比蘭帶着妻子、兒女和小孩子出來，站在自己的帳棚門口。摩西說：「因這件事，你們就必知道這一切事是耶和華差派我做的，並非出於我的心意。這些人的死若和世人無異，或者他們所遭遇的和其他人相同，那麼耶和華就不曾差派我了。但是，倘若耶和華創作一件新事，使地開了裂口，把他們和一切屬他們的都吞下去，叫他們活活墜落陰間，你們就知道是這些人藐視了耶和華。」摩西剛說完這些話，他們腳下的地就裂開，

在那裏，我必賜她葡萄園，又賜她亞割谷作為指望的門。她必在那裏回應，像在年輕時從埃及地上來的時候一樣。

暴力歛財的，擾害己家；恨惡賄賂的，必得存活。

你絕不會做這樣的事，把義人與惡人一同殺了，使義人與惡人一樣。你絕不會這樣！審判全地的主豈不做公平的事嗎？」

他們把城中所有的，無論男女老少，牛羊和驢，都用刀殺盡。

他的肚腹正要滿足的時候，上帝必將猛烈的憤怒降在他身上；他正在吃飯的時候，上帝要將這憤怒如雨降在他身上。他要躲避鐵的武器，銅弓要將他射透。箭一抽，就從他背上出來，發亮的箭頭從他膽中出來；有驚惶臨到他身上。他的財寶隱藏在深沉的黑暗裏；有非人吹起的火要把他吞滅，把他帳棚中所剩下的燒燬。天要顯明他的罪孽，地要興起去攻擊他。他家裏出產的必消失，在上帝憤怒的日子被沖走。

他吞了財寶，還要吐出；上帝要從他腹中掏出來。

「看哪，我因你所得不義之財和你們中間所流的血，就擊打手掌。到了我對付你的日子，你的心豈能忍受呢？你的手還能有力嗎？我－耶和華說了這話，就必成就。

以色列人在當滅之物上犯了罪。猶大支派中，謝拉的曾孫，撒底的孫子，迦米的兒子亞干取了當滅之物，耶和華的怒氣就向以色列人發作。

我見日光之下有一件令人憂傷的禍患，就是財主積存財富，反害自己。

但你們務必謹慎，不可取那當滅的物，免得你們受詛咒，取了那當滅的物，使以色列全營成為詛咒而遭受災禍。
